In case any of your readers want a "face" to tell them about the world crisis, here are quotes from an article (1) in the New York Times by the prestigious Thomas L. Friedman.
Mr. Friedman is a supporter of US imperialism, globalization, and a variant of the New World Order. Here, he tells readers that the old world order is coming down, and that building a new one "will require collective action normally reserved for wartime."

A. Thank you for sharing this with our readers. Indeed, that is the message that we have been trying to convey for years. Of course, Mr. Friedman does not go far enough. He, as do many of our readers, thinks that there is a "way back", when there is none (2). It is too late for anything other than prayer.

Since the end of the cold war, the global system has been held together to a large degree by four
critical ruling bargains. Today all four are coming unstuck at once and will need to be
rebuilt.
Now let me say that in English: the European Union is cracking up. The Arab world is cracking up. China’s growth model is under pressure and America’s credit-driven capitalist model has suffered a warning heart attack and needs a total rethink. Recasting any one of these alone would be huge. Doing all four at once — when the world has never been more interconnected — is mind-boggling. We are again “present at the creation” — but of what?
Let’s start with the Middle East, the world’s oil tap. Libyans just joined Tunisians, Egyptians and Yemenis in ousting their dictator, while Syrians and Iranians hope to soon follow suit. In time, virtually every Middle East autocrat will be deposed or forced to share power. The old model can’t hold.
Farther north, it was a nice idea, this European Union and euro-zone: Let’s have a monetary union and a common currency but let everyone run their own fiscal policy, as long as they swear to work and save like Germans. Alas, it was too good to be true.
One way or another, the European Union is going to get smaller or tighter, but in the process it could go through a chaotic, world-shaking transition that is not priced into the market yet.
Going East, China has been relying on a model built on a deliberately undervalued currency and export-led growth, with low domestic consumption and high savings. This has allowed the Communist Party to sustain a unique bargain with its people: We give you jobs and rising standards of living, and you give us power. This bargain is now under threat.
China also has to get rich before it gets old. It has to move from two parents saving for one kid, to one kid paying for the retirement of two parents. To do that, it has to move from an assembly-copying-manufacturing economy to a knowledge-services-innovation economy. This requires more freedom and rule of law, and you can already see mounting demands for it.
As for America, we’ve thrived in recent decades with a credit-consumption-led economy, whereby we maintained a middle class by using more steroids (easy credit, subprime mortgages and construction work) and less muscle-building (education, skill-building and innovation). It’s put us in a deep hole, and the only way to dig out now is a new, hybrid politics that mixes spending cuts, tax increases, tax reform and investments in infrastructure, education, research and production. But that mix is not the agenda of either party.
When the world is experiencing so many wrenching changes at once — with already high unemployment and weak economies — the need for America, the most important pillar of all, to be rock solid is greater than ever. If we don’t get our act together — which will require collective action normally reserved for wartime - we are not going to just be prolonging an American crisis, but feeding a global one.

Are you getting ready for..... the Draconid meteors of 2011? (1)

Draco the Dragon (2) will be
spitting out “shooting stars,” also known as meteors. The Draconid shower is predicted to
produce the greatest number of meteors on the night of October 8, 2011. Watch for them starting at
nightfall.
This shower produced major displays in 1933 and 1946 – with thousands of meteors per hour seen in those years.
This year, however, some astronomers are calling for a Draconid meteor shower to burst into storm in 2011, with rates of 1,000 meteors per hour.
The forecast calls for the peak to occur between 17:00 and 18:00 Universal Time on October 8, 2001 (3). If the prediction holds true, that means Europe, northern Africa and the Middle East will get to watch the Draconids at their peak.

Just as with the 5.8 quake on the east coast of the US, God has spared me from wind/flood damage to my home, car, etc. Praised be His Holy Name!
Knowing the potential of what was coming, I prayed and asked for Mercy - not just for myself - but upon me and all those around me (friend and enemy alike), that we would be spared the brunt of the storm. That our homes, cars, persons, etc. be spared - if it was His Holy Will.
As with the quake, my home is unscathed. So are those of my neighbors, even those who hate me. Praise God for His Mercy!
In thanksgiving, I offered prayers, including the Rosary. But this caused me to think: What are those around me doing? Did they even think to thank God?
Seemingly not. From my vantage point, they are: ".....In those days before the flood, people were eating and drinking.... right up to the day when Noah went into the ark." (Matthew 24:38).
In your Private FYI&R posting on August 26 (1), you stated that a 'wake-up call' such as a New Madrid Fault type event is needed. I understood and completely agreed with you when I first read that post. But now witnessing in person, on-line and TV the seeming communal 'yawn' of general reaction, my agreement is now vehement. Man is simply in general Denial and refusing to respond properly to God. People awaken for a moment, e.g. as after 9/11 (2), then fall back to sleep.
My power went out. I prayed that it be restored to me and my neighbors. Two hours later, the power was restored. I gave thanks to God. My neighbors went shopping, or are mindlessly playing video games. As this (August 28th) is Sunday, you would think that they would at least spend a moment in thanksgiving to Him who created and sustains them. Just a minute....
The 'people who live in darkness'... seem to like it that way. Come quickly, Lord Jesus!

Allow us to share with our readership a example - an event which has taken place barely two hours before these lines are being typed.
Sunday morning, while miguel was standing before the refrigerator in his living quarters, the motor/compressor ignited. Since it was not a short circuit, the breaker did not trip, thus there was ample electrical power to fuel the fire. Rapid action stopped the fire before it could spread. If it had spread, and with three containers of propane and butane gas less than 10 feet away, the explosion not only would have demolished the building but would have taken care of most of the block through a chain reaction of explosions.
miguel contacted the owner, Da. JMS, and told her that he had "Good News" and "Bad News" for her. She chose to listen to the "Good News" first which was: Your uninsured property did not burn down igniting the whole block. The "Bad News" was that she needed to buy a new refrigerator (which had been due for 3 years) for the apartment.
miguel explained to her how Blessed we all had been because he was standing right before the refrigerator when the fire started, so that it was immediately stopped from spreading. If miguel had been in another room, or asleep or outside, the localized Apocalyptic scenario described above would have taken place with very serious consequences - multiple deaths included.
miguel added special prayers of Thanksgiving for such Graces, to the daily prayers of Thanksgiving offered to God.
This morning, as Da. JMS was getting ready to secure a new refrigerator she called miguel and tried to enlist him so that he would cover for her a series of lies that she would use to defraud an insurance company into paying for a refrigerator which was not covered by her existing policies.
Of course, she will not miss Mass on a single Sunday.....
P.S. Conclusion of events: (a) She replaced the damaged refrigerator with the cheapest equipment that she could buy: and after having been instructed about the evils of lying and stealing she (b) Managed to enlist the cooperation of others to defraud her insurance company.

Have you heard that... the world's first animal with artificial information in its genetic code has been created by scientists? (1)

in a wide range of animals. Using this method, scientists could be granted 'atom-by-atom control'
over molecules in living things.
Researchers from Medical Research Council Laboratory of Molecular Biology in Cambridge modified the genetic code of nematode worms, 1mm long invertebrates with just a thousand cells in their transparent bodies. The team proved their results using a fluorescent dye - the artificial protein they introduced into the worms' DNA contained a fluorescent dye that glows cherry red under ultraviolet light.
Scientists Sebastian Greiss and Jason Chin included a 21st, man-made amino acid which is not found in nature, in the nematode worms' DNA.
This is the first time a man-made amino acid has been introduced into the DNA of an animal. Dr Chin of the Laboratory of Molecular Biology says the method is 'potentially transformational'. Researchers could now be able to create designer proteins entirely under their control.
The work builds on techniques first developed at the Scripps Research Institute in the U.S., where Dr Chin worked a decade ago. Here researchers found a way to include an unnatural amino acid into a living organism.
However, researchers only got as far as introducing the artificial amino acid into bacterium E-coli. It is only now that scientists have succeeded in introducing one into a whole animal.

Just a thought.....
I have not been watching anything on Hurricane Irene until this evening (August 27th). I thought it was very interesting to listen to Mayor Bloomberg speaking about all the plans NYC was setting in motion.
It sounded to me like this was their practice run for something else. Just something about his demeanor, etc. was screaming that “we are testing everything out for another event that we already know is coming.”
I don't know; I may be dreaming, but I mentioned this to someone else and they agreed they had thought the same thing.

However.... the extent of the preparations, even after a Katrina-shaken FEMA, seemed completely inconsistent with the threat at hand. Thus, although your feeling is from a different trigger-source than ours, it is shared by us.
Providentially, 24-48 hours before Irene reached the upper East Coast, we watched a documentary about a hurricane which hit New York in 1938 (with much actual footage of the event) and which most everyone has forgotten about. It was a Category 3 and, although it caused much harm it was not enough to, proverbially speaking, write home about. This made the level of preparation ordered by the authorities for a Category 1 storm seem even more inconsistent with reality.
This situation, however, does not necessarily point to a human-concocted conspiracy. Read on.
As we have said many times..... when God deems it appropriate, He gives satan a free hand. Now that we are in the 42 year/month period spoken of in Revelations (1), that is the rule and not the exception.
Consider the following apparent coincidences:

It could be argued that all of those very striking "coincidences" reveal conspiracy theories at
work, but, one must be practical. Although situations (b), (c) and (d) would have been ideal to
throw a confusion factor in a truly well (humanly) planned conspiracy, events (a) and (e) were
hardly needed for unleashing the fury of Mr. Breivik or the fury of the earthquake upon Port Au
Prince, Haiti.
Regarding item (f): The constellation Draco received that name in time immemorial - hardly a current conspiracy; in addition, we do not consider the developers of the new "miracle drug" Draco intellectually capable of connecting the name of their new drug to the constellation central to the planet Earth. Scientists, generally speaking, have proven quite stupid and ignorant in areas outside the narrow focus of their expertise.
Therefore, there is only one common thread conspirator who would cause all of the above, and many other strange coincidences, and his name is: satan. Although satan works through humans, the real purpose of their actions, whenever unsuspecting humans are involved, is as unknown to them as it is to the proverbial man on the street.

One of the best kept secrets.... of the New Testament may be found in the story where the boat which the Apostles were on was about to capsize due to a severe storm [Mark 5:48-51 and Matthew 8: 26-27]; a storm which Jesus quickly ended by just ordering the elements to do so.
What is the secret? you may wonder. It is right there for all to see, and is not about faith since the Apostles were terrified. Allow us to explain.
It is a universally accepted and acknowledged truth that, as the world says: Man is powerless against the forces of nature; a truth that the forces of nature have confirmed so many times that it would be impossible to list.
What those Biblical verses are assuring us of is that man is not powerless against the forces of nature as long as he/she is with Jesus Christ.
Some may say: "Yes, that is easy for you to say when you are away from, say, a hurricane." The "mystery" was solved when he received a cell phone call while driving.... the caller (a long tome friend inquiring about his well being) informed miguel that he was in the middle of a hurricane while driving through a practically deserted city.
This is not a fabricated story a la Vatican. Of course, miguel did not do it on purpose, nor does he recommend an equivalent lack of prudence to anyone else. He was totally unaware that there was a hurricane crossing Houston. This also goes to prove that indeed God protects the innocent (in this case not necessarily "innocent", but someone completely detached from the physical reality at the time).
Regarding item (f): The constellation Draco received that name in time immemorial - hardly a current conspiracy; in addition, we do not consider the developers of the new "miracle drug" Draco intellectually capable of connecting the name of their new drug to the constellation central to the planet Earth. Scientists, generally speaking, have proven quite stupid and ignorant in areas outside the narrow focus of their expertise.
Therefore, there is only one common thread conspirator who would cause all of the above, and many other strange coincidences, and his name is: satan. Although satan works through humans, the real purpose of their actions, whenever unsuspecting humans are involved, is as unknown to them as it is to the proverbial man on the street.

One of the best kept secrets.... of the New Testament may be found in the story where the boat which the Apostles were on was about to capsize due to a severe storm [Mark 5:48-51 and Matthew 8: 26-27]; a storm which Jesus quickly ended by just ordering the elements to do so.

The 5.8 quake centered near Washington, DC was felt as far north as Canada. It was felt and spoken of in my town here in northeast PA. Yet, I felt nothing.
I was awake and fully conscious at the time it occurred, yet neither heard nor observed anything. My first awareness of it was via Dutchsinse on You Tube. Then I scoured news reports to see how severe it was.
Then I went through my house, including the basement & exterior foundation, checking for damage. None was found. Nor did any objects in my house fall or break.
I am reminded of the passage from Psalm 91: "A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand: but it shall not come nigh thee."

Yes, we understand that most everyone say that they believe it but... when the proverbial "chips are down" panic ensues and that is what must be avoided. satan banks on despairing souls.
miguel de Portugal had an similar experience - perhaps a bit more pronounced. His next door neighbor was in bed when an earthquake hit the Coimbra - Nazare area in Portugal. They had a common wall. The neighbor was thrown out of bed, yet miguel only found that there had been an earthquake when a cooperator showed up in a panic to see if he had been hurt.
Not even precariously balanced objects and candles in his private chapel were disturbed.
Please remember - it is not that Mr. IW or m de P are great - It is God Who Is Great and Whose Holy Word is the Rock upon which His children rest, even in the midst of a ferocious storm.

What to do faced with these possibilities? Always confirm any report/news that will require drastic action from your part - including financial. Do not act until you are sure of the news report and its source. Of course, this advice will not work at the time of the manifestation of the False Christ (2). In this case, as we have often said, only the Holy Spirit in your heart and soul can help avoid a fatal mistake.

God indeed has.... a sense of humor, even
while using unusual channels of communication.
As many of you know, the term "When hell freezes over" describes the time when something that can never happen, will happen.
As most of you also know, when one mention the proximity of the Second Coming of Our Lord Jesus Christ to most Catholic Clerics, after rolling their eyes, they proceed to quote the opening verse of yesterday's Gospel: “Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come." [Matt. 24:42] while thinking to themselves "Yeah, right! Right after hell freezes over."
If the poor faithful insists and quotes Jesus: "And from the fig tree learn a parable:..." [Matt. 24:32] the cleric realizes that it is time to make a quick exit using whatever excuse comes to mind.
As all of you also know, when scientists speak of the surface temperature of our Sun and all known stars, the number has so many zeroes that it makes our imagine temperature of hell sound kind of "coolish".
Well, actually NASA has news for you:
Through this astronomical parable, God is reminding us that what is dismissed as being "so far in the future that it is not worth considering - the Parousia" is not that far away.

A limited asteroid impact or a limited Yellowstone volcano eruption would not be yield such a result for many reasons - one of which is that everyone is expecting them "as a matter of course". There are others, more subtle, which will nurture the state of denial further.
Once we reviewed a documentary of the New Madrid events of December 1811 - February 1812, (1) we realized that such an event, or its equivalent, was "made to order" - a truly mini (by global standards) Apocalyptic scenario.
There were many extra-ordinary events besides the basic earthquakes that would ring the Apocalyptic bell in many. Among the extra-ordinary events were the Mississippi river flowing backwards, lakes disappearing right before the eyes of witnesses, and columns of sulfurous smoke coming out of the ground - scenes just out of Dante's Inferno.
Therefore, know that I have prayed in earnest to God that He allows, in accordance to His Holy Will, an event of that nature and magnitude in whichever nation would have the greatest "waking up" impact. We have no doubt that the net suffering in the world would be greatly reduced since many of the Elect will be quickly awakened from their slumber and respond, as they should, in prayer.
We invite you to join us in that particular prayer so that God, in His infinite Mercy, through such an event, reduce the net suffering that awaits humanity.

As it was stated in the August 24th post regarding our opinion on Ratzinger's visit to Madrid: God Himself gave the answer when "...his speech there was cut short by a violent thunderstorm which blew off his skullcap", and turned Rome's version of Woodstock, which was going to be the "Height of the Visit", into complete chaos.
Naturally we have a few more items to highlight, which we will do now as announced.
The first is that if we had to prepare a script for Ratzinger to follow, we could not have done any better. Once again, he has made the discharging of our function easier - for even those who serve satan must help those who serve God.
Second: It is clear that our document regarding the True Petrine Ministry (1) debunking the notion that "Peter is the Rock", has found its way to Ratzinger. In the Homily based on the Gospel of the day [Mt 16:13-20] of the Mass at Cuatro Vientos, Madrid, on August 21st, 2011 he stated:
[our translation] (2)As you may see the Vatican seems to have dropped the obvious attempts of passing Peter as the Rock upon which the Church was built. Our document (1) left them no choice.
In His answer to Peter's confession, Jesus speaks about the Church: And so I say to you, you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church,. What does that mean? Jesus builds the Church upon the rock of Peter's faith, who confesses Christ's Divinity.
However, do not "run to the streets to celebrate the victory". The evil one has other means of persuasion.
Third: On that same day, during the Angelus, in his greeting to the visitors from France Ratzinger states:

Dear youth of the French language, Christ asks you today to remain rooted on Him and build with Him your life upon the rock which is He Himself.
Subtle trick indeed. Ratzinger is rightfully identifying Christ as "the Rock", but he is speaking “as Christ,” as if he himself were the Christ.
Fourth: During the same Mass Homily - and practically Ratzinger's mantra throughout his visit - he stated:

Those who fall into temptation of "going at it alone" or to live the faith according to the individual's perception, which predominates in today's society, runs the risk of never finding Jesus Christ, or end up following a false image of Him.Here, he is couching the original claims made in Dominus Iesus, which we debunked (5) at the time, by saying : "...runs the risk of never finding Jesus Christ, or end up following a false image of Him.
But as Ratzinger continued to hammer that the Church (read: the Church Administration) is Jesus Christ (body and head!), the net message the listeners to this latest brainwash jamboree will receive is that: If you are not in communion with the Roman Catholic Church you will "...end up following a false image of Him."
Fifth: With the above, Ratzinger is making one last appeal for all "good" Catholics - defined as those submissive to Rome even when Rome blatantly violates the Word of God - that they accept the False Christ they are about to spring upon humanity.

Those who must be converted and be healed will, somehow, hear what we announce in His Name. Therefore, our only concern is to ensure that the message gets out within the limitations imposed to us by circumstance. Who responds or does not is not our responsibility - thanks be to God!

Julia-Levy (above) said he'd been made aware of the secret Mayan information by former Mexican president Vicente Fox -- a friend of his family -- and that it took four years of phone calls to finally get the OK from current president Felipe Calderon.
"This is very important for humanity, not just for Mexico," said Julia-Levy. "This information has been protected for 80 years, and now it's important for people to understand the series of events that are coming, and the consequences for all of us."
The English-language documentary will be directed by Juan Carlos Ruflo, and will begin shooting later this year. Elbert said the filmmakers are talking to investors and waiting for the government to give them their first look at the material and the site.

If 10 minutes of advertising in TV amply pays for 20 minutes of programming every half hour (by increasing the sponsor's sales), what can endless hours spent watching and/or playing violent TV programs, movies and video games do to the developing mind of a child and adolescent? Precisely:
Believe it or not, that trend is worse in Europe.
Now then: Do you think that violent TV programs, movies and video games will be stopped? Of course not! Hell will freeze over before that happens, voluntarily that is.
This is another solid reason why God has been left with no other option except to demolish creation down to its foundations and bring it up again - this time, keeping it on a very short leash.

On special occasions, there might be a drawing and quartering. But that was before television, when they had to make their own fun.
These incidents are happening because young people think violence is normal. Society condones aggression as never before. To take a mild example, most people who saw the footage of Graham Capill being assaulted outside court by Daniel McNally reacted approvingly. They were equally impressed when Capill's lawyer, Jonathan Eaton, wrestled McNally to the ground. Two assaults, two thumbs up. What's a kid to think?
Rather than spend millions of dollars and thousands of hours trying to fix a youth-unemployment rate that's a consequence of a stagnant economy, we would be better to spend some of that time and money on measures to discourage young people from turning to violence. After all, potential employers are likelier to take on a teenager if they can be sure that he or she won't set them alight for a jape. (1)

We have reviewed the 50th Anniversary celebration of the start of the Marian Manifestations in Garabandal (0), as published by the Garabandal Journal (1). As we have said before, we consider the Garabandal Journal an outstanding current publication, covering the events which started in San Sebastián de Garabandal back in 1961 and concluded in 1965.
As it is customary these days, most of the news may be found in what was not said in so many words. But first, we will start with what should be positive news if we did not know otherwise (2).

and (e) the ease in reaching Garabandal now as well as the plentiful accommodations in the area,
the turnout for both days was insignificant. This low turnout, accentuated by the absence of two
of the three living visionaries, says more about the "State of Garabandal Manifestations and
Future Events" than a whole book could.

If the Church Administrators continue their effort to drag into Hades the monster they have
created, together with those who have willfully partaken of its chalice of abominations, they may
certainly do so. However, it is the Will of God that we write and pronounce whatever is necessary
to prevent His true children, many of whom have been disoriented by the ecclesiastical
wolves-in-sheep's-clothing, from unnecessary suffering.

First we have the former strong man of the European Union, Javier Solana (1), who, in a recent Op-Ed column (2), openly justifies and calls for Global Governance (a.k.a. One World Order/Government) as "the only solution" for all the world problems.
Mr. Solana writes:

We can see how the New World Order folks in Texas are resolving the problem, since it was President Bush, the father, who was to be the head of the US version of the New World Order (6) : The name of the updated solution is Gov. Rick Perry, the Pious One or the King of Death Row (your choice). As our readers should recall, it was former Pres. George W. Bush the one who had to "pick up" where his father was forced to "leave off" regarding the US version of the New World Order, but "they" underestimated the intellectual handicap of former President Bush, the son, and the plans just could not be implemented.
Frankly, not even a three time Oscar winning Hollywood script writer could even close to conceiving the plot that we are updating for you now.

Thirteen years ago I had the following dream. Oddly, it occurred the day prior to an appointment I had at the church in the dream - a church whose school I had briefly attended as a child. Here is the dream as I recall it:
I was walking in New York City. Everything was devastated.
It looked worse than Dresden or Berlin after
WWII: block after block strewn with rubble. No buildings left; only mountains of scattered bricks,
and the occasional part of a wall.
I had to climb over these vast mounds of rubble, which took great physical effort. I was alone, yet I think I was searching for something, traveling over what seemed to be great distances. No sounds were heard. Then a church I had known in my childhood came into view, after climbing over the crest of a mound of rubble. Somehow it was still standing, largely intact. Yet there was a gaping hole in the wall on the level of the choir loft. I could see the pipe organ therein - perfectly intact.
So I climbed up a hill of rubble to enter the half ruined church via the choir loft. Inexplicably, the power to the organ (supplying the wind) was still connected; I was able to turn it on. This puzzled me, as everything else was destroyed. I do not recall anything else in the church being intact.
Then I sat down and played the organ, still puzzled that it was unscathed - and that there was power to run it. I played a hymn: "Holy God We Praise Thy Name". Then the dream ended.

The numbers prove what.... we have seen everywhere in Spain. Much "talk" about God and the Catholic Faith but very little true Faith related action - such as Mass attendance and participation in other Sacraments like Reconciliation and Matrimony.
Spain is less solidly Catholic than it once was. A government survey released in July found that
71.7 percent of Spaniards declared themselves Catholics, compared with 82.1 percent in 2001. Of

Comet Elenin Poses No Threat to Earth
Often, comets are portrayed as harbingers of gloom and doom in movies and on television, but most pose no threat to Earth. Comet Elenin, the latest comet to visit our inner solar system, is no exception. Elenin will pass about 22 million miles (35 million kilometers) from Earth during its closest approach on Oct. 16, 2011.
Also known by its astronomical name C/2010 X1, the comet was first detected on Dec. 10, 2010 by Leonid Elenin, an observer in Lyubertsy, Russia, who made the discovery "remotely" using an observatory in New Mexico. At that time, Elenin was about 401 million miles (647 million kilometers) from Earth. Since its discovery, Comet Elenin has - as all comets do - closed the distance to Earth's vicinity as it makes its way closer to perihelion, its closest point to the sun.
NASA scientists have taken time over the last several months to answer your questions. The Spirit of the LORD came upon Jephthah..... Jephthah made a
vow to the LORD. "If you deliver the Ammonites into my power," he said, "whoever comes out
of the doors of my house to meet me when I return in triumph from the Ammonites shall belong to
the LORD. I shall offer him up as a burnt offering."
He triumphed in battle, his only child, his daughter, was the first one to come out of the house to greet him and, as promised, Jephthah offered her as a burnt offering.
To think that the Spirit of the true God was upon this man is blasphemy. To think that Jephthah was a man of God is sheer insanity. This is why the real God stepped back and let events take the course they did.
God tested Abraham as He did because in the days of Abraham human sacrifices were not uncommon (but certainly not for the true God), therefore, Abraham did not know any better then, but that should not have been the case in the post-Moses days of Jephthah. Only satan would accept such an offering.
The Old Testament is full of these types of outrages - mixed in (by man, of course) with magnificent and Eternal Truths. The issue is being able to tell the difference between a piece of coal or a diamond. Chemically they are the same but one is full of darkness while the other is full of light.

I completely agree with the writer in the 081411-Private FYI&R you sent, and which dealt with the reasons behind the violent social eruption in the UK.
Having lived both as middle class and dirt-poor (and in a third-world country where even in death the classes are not equal), I know how it feels like to be disadvantaged. The despair feeds into resentment, the resentment into anger and pretty soon requires some form of release.
While not blameless, the rioters had a reason for acting as they did. I just find it bitterly amusing that pretty soon (if there is time enough left) many regions of the world would be similar to the Philippines - societies wherein small islands of opulence are surrounded by a vast sea of poverty.
I would just like to share the following excerpts from an article in Science Daily titled Social Class as Culture. (1) This may help illustrate for others the difference between choosing God and choosing mammon. Excerpts follow:
"People from lower-class
backgrounds are better at reading other people's emotions. They're more likely to act
altruistically. "They give more and help more. If someone's in need, they'll respond," Keltner
says. When poor people see someone else suffering, they have a physiological response that is
missing in people with more resources."

wealthier people don't read other people's emotions as well. They hoard resources and are less
generous than they could be.

Greetings to you this morning in His Precious Name!
I would like to take a couple of minutes this hot morning and share just a bit more of my personal story in my life on the "the rock"
I was sitting with my wife watching an old episode of "NCIS" where Gibbs called father to wish him a Merry Christmas; memories of Daddy came flooding into my awareness and I was struck again with how the events of my life seem always connected and "guided" somehow, never random.
After Daddy died Mom remarried and we moved away from Newburgh NY where I had been born. I graduated from high school, served briefly in the US Navy and returned to Dutchess County (Poughkeepsie) where I went to work for IBM.
I met the innocence of my life in the person of my precious D.R. in 1965 as the result of the events that were set in motion/continued by the loss of Daddy in 1953. We were married on April 26, 1968 and have been together forty three years.
On August 3rd I will be sixty six years old; she will be sixty three on December 2nd. We are still monogamously faithful to each other and more in love that ever as the candles of our lives sense the ever increasing draft of the wind of the ever-passing years.
Her innocence has kept me faithful to the love we share. Personal reflection: the greatest gift of the Holy Spirit has been the sense of value and wonder I placed in the gift of innocence I saw in her when we met and which she brings to our marriage every day. Faithfulness to her means faithfulness to that innocence and I find it reflected back upon myself as though gazing at her I see myself in the mirror of her reflection.

satan's last trick we speak of is the "women's liberation" and "women's equality with men" movements and their many variants. In the case of "equality", the only equality between men and women that is of God are: (a) Equality before Divine and Civil Laws; (b) Individuals of either gender must be respected equally; and (c) Equal opportunity in the labor/professional field.
Noting the statistical exceptions, when women "become equal to men," that innocence that you speak about is lost. When that innocence is lost, that "glue" which causes man to "...cleave to his wife " is dissolved, and the disordered society that we have today results.
Just as true love for God will help a human being, any human being, to avoid sin, the innocence that you speak about results in the sublime state that you have so aptly described.
The following teachings of St. Paul have been symbolically burned at the "altar of false equality".
Yet, they are true.

Any organization/family must have only one head - just as we explained when we illustrated the reality of the Petrine Ministry (1). The "buck" must stop somewhere: a "somewhere" manned by one single individual - and, in the family, that is the man.
The secret is that a woman filled with love and innocence can move any man to do just about anything without having to "wear the pants in the house". The best example that we have is Mary. She clearly declared Herself "... the handmaid of the Lord;" and confirmed it by saying: "...be it done to me according to thy word." [Luke 1:38] She did not tell Gabriel: "What's in it for me?" before giving an answer.
As we have discussed elsewhere (2) there is no human that will ever wield the awesome power that Mary wields through Her innocent submission to the Triune God. There is nothing, absolutely nothing!, that the Most Holy Trinity will ever deny to "... the handmaid of the Lord".
miguel has had the privilege to witness many examples of both types of women - the liberated and the innocent and, rest assured, that when he sees the innocent one coming with a project under her arm, he knows that "there is no escape" from doing it.... with Mary being the one who keeps showing up with new projects for him to accomplish. How can he say "No" to Her? (3)
Happy (belated) Anniversary to you, J. and D.R., and thank you for the opportunity that you have given us to illustrate, once again, the importance of heeding the Word of God since, in the end, it is always true, and thus, right.

Yes, we understand... that is not the case in say, New York or Houston or Tokyo, etc. So, how could you get people desperate enough to line up in order to get a "survival patch" and so fulfill Biblical prophecy?
Not a problem! Create a global environment where the residents of New York or Houston or Tokyo, etc. feel as desperate as those refugees in Somalia and surrounding areas.
How? satan has several options open to him, options which God will allow him to exercise freely [Rev. 13:5]: (a) Massive nuclear holocaust; (b) Comet/Asteroid strike on Earth; (c) A Super volcano eruption with the associated worldwide earthquakes and tsunamis; (d) An invented global scare; and (e) A "pinch" of a devastating plague to get "those who got away".
The breadth and depth of the implementation of the full manifestation of the "mark of the beast" will be set by God in the measure that it will fully fulfill Biblical prophecy. We say "fully" because its symbolic manifestation has already taken place right now with those refugees in Somalia and surrounding areas.
