Points to Ponder About

The purpose of Points to Ponder About was to stimulate thinking that would draw the disoriented Faithful back to God and away from the hypocritical duplicity of some religious institutions which are destroying the little faith left on earth. (For a more detailed explanation, see Points to Ponder About - Purpose). What used to be posted in this section has been integrated in For Your Information and Reference.

Note: This 'Point to Ponder About' section was prepared in the years 2005-2009. Some linked documents external to this domain may have been removed from the Net, or moved to different locations, since then.

Do you ever wonder... why if God was very specific when He instructed Moses:

3 Thou shalt not have strange gods before me. 4 Thou shalt not make to thyself a graven thing, nor the likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or in the earth beneath, nor of those things that are in the waters under the earth. 5 Thou shalt not adore them, nor serve them: [Exodus 20]

an order which has caused the Jews and Muslims recoil before any of the icons and statues that may be found in the practice of the Catholic Faith, yet, later on, God Himself, instructed Moses, just as clearly, to:

8 And the Lord said to him: Make brazen serpent, and set it up for a sign: whosoever being struck shall look on it, shall live. 9 Moses therefore made a brazen serpent, and set it up for a sign: which when they that were bitten looked upon, they were healed. [Number 21]

Doesn't this appear to be a serious Divine contradiction? Well, if one had studied what we published regarding Biblical Literalism Part I and Part II, one could answer thus:

No; there is no lack of coherence. God has nothing against a graven image - it is the worshiping of the graven image - as many Catholics do even though is contrary to the basic teachings of Catholicism - that is against the basic Law of God.

What God was doing here with the brazen serpent was teaching us how to venerate a crucifix (not just a cross but a crucifix). Allow us to explain:

The Israelites sinned against God; God sent poisoned serpents which started biting and killing the Israelites as punishment - the consequence of their sins; Moses intervenes with God and God instructs him to make brazen serpent, and set it up for a sign.... which when they that were bitten looked upon, they were healed.

Now, millennia later, Jesus is crucified and we have a crucifix to remind us of the crucifixion and of His wounds. Wounds caused by our sins. Therefore, when we look at that crucifix and lovingly remember that He is there because of our sins, then we start becoming spiritually healed for.... it is through His wounds that we may be healed!

Perfect coherence - through and through.

Do you ever wonder... what is the difference between "store bought faith" (Intellectual Faith) and real faith - a gift that only God can give and no man can take away? Review the letter posted in Public Forum II dated July 24th - you will find the answer there.

Note: We sincerely thank the writer of the above referenced letter which appears in Public Forum II for her permission to publish it - a letter which is a living beacon to those who wish to understand what real Faith is all about.

Do you ever wonder... why dog fighting and cock fighting are illegal, yet human fighting - boxing and wrestling - are perfectly legal and quite profitable, even though they can be quite harmful to humans?

Because man, without God, is inherently stupid. See the below posting for additional illumination on this matter and how natural selection will take care of this recurring problem.

We have shown that both Galileo and the Roman Church were both right. We have also shown that the theory of Evolution cannot exist without the Theory of Creation - and vice versa.

Now we will show that the Survival of the Fittest (or Natural Selection) (1) will be confirmed, and totally fulfilled, at the End of These Times.

Only the Elect will not be deceived at the End of These Times; and, as we well know, the "Elect" are the "Blessed" Jesus spoke of when He said:

3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 4 Blessed are the meek: for they shall possess the land. 5 Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted. 6 Blessed are they that hunger and thirst after justice: for they shall have their fill. 7 Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. 8 Blessed are the clean of heart: for they shall see God. 9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called children of God. 10 Blessed are they that suffer persecution for justice' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. [Matthew 5]

What makes man, any man, "the fittest" is when he has the holy Spirit of God in his heart, which makes him "blessed". Everyone else will be razed, no matter how "fit" they may be using world fitness measuring devices - including which religion they may profess, if any!

This is what we call Supernatural Selection as opposed to Darwin's Natural Selection.

"Let the clowns march in.... and we shall show them the way out!"

____________
(1) Survival of the fittest is a phrase which is a shorthand for a concept relating to competition for survival or predominance. Originally applied by Herbert Spencer in his Principles of Biology of 1864, Spencer drew parallels to his ideas of economics with Charles Darwin's theories of evolution by what Darwin termed natural selection.

The phrase is a metaphor, not a scientific description; and it is not generally used by biologists, who almost exclusively prefer to use the phrase "natural selection".

One good reason not to "...command fire to come down from heaven, and consume them" is because "them" may be the only ones who will help you.

A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among robbers, who also stripped him, and having wounded him went away, leaving him half dead.

31 And it chanced, that a certain priest went down the same way: and seeing him, passed by. 32 In like manner also a Levite, when he was near the place and saw him, passed by. 33 But a certain Samaritan being on his journey, came near him; and seeing him, was moved with compassion. 34 And going up to him, bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine: and setting him upon his own beast, brought him to an inn, and took care of him. 35 And the next day he took out two pence, and gave to the host, and said: Take care of him; and whatsoever thou shalt spend over and above, I, at my return, will repay thee. [Luke 10]

As the saying goes: "We wish 'Good luck!'" on those who are trusting their salvation to the priests and Levites of the kind who "command fire to come down from heaven to consume those who do not think like them."

Should they be counting on "blind" Divine Mercy to "patch up" their convenient oversights, we recommend a careful review of Divine Mercy In Action. All have been amply warned, thus there shall be no recourse except for the innocent victims of the system.

Do you ever wonder... the real and full meaning of these Words spoken by Jesus Himself:

For whatsoever things you have spoken in darkness, shall be published in the light: and that which you have spoken in the ear in the chambers, shall be preached on the housetops. ? [Luke 12:3]

You will never wonder again after you read Jesus Himself Accuses the Church Administration in no uncertain terms.

Do you ever wonder... how it will look if we prove - using their own official documents, ancient and current - that Jesus unequivocally condemned most of the actions of the Catholic Church Administration since the 4th century forward?

This will certainly be the test of whether you believe in God or believe in an institution twisted to suit man's agendas and not the Divine Agenda it was set up to fulfill. Keep in mind - we are not talking about the Faith, which we uphold; we are talking about the Administration which we denounce, yes denounce, in the Name of God.

Do you ever think that.... miguel de Portugal is pessimistic? Would you have thought the same if he had been publishing similar warnings and exhortations about the world political scene and the Roman Catholic Church up to September 1st, 1939, for example, or you would have had to wait until August 6th, 1945, to see that he was not?
