The Spanish journal El País published an article (1) entitled "Un Informe Parlamentario Belga Ve al Opus Como Secta" ["A Belgian Parliament Report Views the Opus As a Sect"].

As expected, the official Vatican newspaper L'Osservatore Romano on a two full page article (2) penned by an Austrian Archbishop, rebukes the possibility of any "sect" being part of the Roman Catholic Church. Summarizing two pages of discreet rebuttal: "How could the Church keep within its fold what the Church itself considers a heresy?"

Frankly, that is precisely the question for which The M+G+R Foundation would like to hear the answer since the Opus Dei and its multitude of spiritual affiliates, including Regnum Christi and Legionaries of Christ appear to be nothing more than sects coated with a thick layer of false piety and duplicity, hiding within the bosom of the Holy Roman Catholic Church.

PLEASE NOTE:

We are aware that the Opus Dei's allegedly humble founder, Msgr. Josemaría Escrivá de Balaguer, Marquise of Peralta, has been already Beatified by the Roman Catholic Church.

We are also aware that Joan of Arc was burnt at the stake after being accused of being a witch by the same Roman Catholic Church which Canonized her years later.

Perhaps we are seeing the reverse sequence in the case of the Marquise of Peralta.
