The Extra Terrestrial Hypothesis - A Logical Approach
Translated Excerpts
All of those interested in the UFO phenomena know that, in all honesty,
a high percentage of the reported cases have a conventional
explanation. We all know that, frequently, airplanes, meteorites,
temperature inversions or similar phenomena are classified as UFO by
inexperienced witnesses.
We all also know that there are a few cases, which have been rigorously
documented, as well as physically confirmed, which escape easy and
rational explanation. Those cases, upon which the the UFO phenomena
solidly rest, are used as "proofs" that extra terrestrial creatures do
exist. And I say "extra terrestrial creatures" and not UFO's because
the discussions about UFO's without extra terrestrial beings inside
them limit the Extra Terrestrial Hypothesis (ETH).
It is indeed true, as we all know, that some UFO's have been detected
by radar and sonar equipment. It is also true that certain landings by
UFO's have left marks such as burnt ground vegetation, landing gear
tracks and even an increase of radioactivity in the area. There are
even documented cases of individuals having met, face to face, with
human-like creatures associated with the UFO's. Those "ufonauts"
apparently made contact with some fortunate and unfortunate witnesses.
Some, who claim to have been abducted, show unpleasant looking scars
and wounds in their bodies as proofs of the "medical" tests to which
they ware subjected once inside the alien vehicle.
At times - entire families, towns or whole cities have witnessed a
major manifestation of UFO's. Even in the Bible and other similar texts
one can find incidents of this type: the visions of Ezechiel, the
destruction of Sodom, etc. There are even authors who resort to
archeological finds such as the "Nazca Lines" and prehistoric skulls
with "bullet holes", to prove the presence of extra terrestrials beings
back then. Well, in my opinion, all of those proofs of the
unquestionable reality of the UFO's - radar detection, marks left
behind, scars, etc. - actually prove the opposite; that none of the
UFO's is an extraterrestrial vehicle.
For years I have manifested my disappointment for the lack of
"thinkers" within the UFO movement as well as for the excess of "case
collectors". It serves no purpose to accumulate UFO related case files
if we do not ponder upon their contents and issue the appropriate
conclusions.
In my opinion, the casual observations of the UFO phenomena should have
ended a long time ago just as the classic ETH (Extra Terrestrial
Hypothesis), which has been defended by traditional ufologists, and
which has been used by the skeptics in their fight against the UFO
phenomena.
The logical meditation about such real confirmation of the existence of
UFO's, in my opinion, should lead us to the conclusion that no
extraterrestrial space ship has ever visited our planet. Let us see
why....
+ To accept the interstellar or intergalactic origins of the UFO's -
unless we assume that there is a planet within our solar system which
is inhabited - we must stop and think of what that implies.
The distance between stars - not to
mention between galaxies - are so tremendous that it is very difficult
to conceive that it may take the light several years to bridge it. A
spaceship could hardly achieve a cruising speed that would allow it to
travel from Alpha Centaur - the star closest to our Sun which,
incidentally, does not meet the minimum environmental conditions to
sustain organic life - in the course of a generation.
How can we then expect a spaceship to travel the 8.7 light-years which
separates Sirius and our planet? Traveling from such remote regions
would imply a technology that would border on the sublime For example,
such intelligent life would have to neutralize their mass and that of
their spaceships, that is, disintegrate themselves and then reintegrate
themselves upon arrival; etc., etc. Logically, the travel would have to
involve something far more fantastic and ethereal than a regular
spaceship or anything that may even come close to our space travel
technology.
+ There is no doubt that UFO's have sometimes left burnt areas on the
ground vegetation upon which they have landed. But, if there are such
burnt areas it must be because some sort of combustion has taken place.
Are we to assume that the UFO motors are internal combustion engines?
How can such a fantastic technology
(that allows easy travel across 8.7 light years) have radioactive leaks
causing the radioactivity found in UFO landing areas?
How about the marks left by the "legs, stairs or landing gears"? Such
fantastic technology (that allows easy travel across 8.7 light years)
would not be equipped with any of that.
+ Accepting for just a moment the best documented abduction cases....
How can a test conduct by such and
advanced and sophisticated civilization leave scars? How can anyone who
can effortlessly travel 8.7 light-years have to resort to hypodermic
needles, scissors and/or scalpels to conduct physical examinations?
Even the surgical technology of our modern hospitals greatly surpass
the descriptions afforded by Hill, Walton, Zanffreta, Hikson and the
like?
All of the above lead me to a thought provoking question: Would it have
been logical for Neil Armstrong, after landing the Apollo XI on the
Moon, to have exited the module in an ox cart to then take lunar
samples with a wooden rake and a straw basket? Incoherent and
ridiculous as that sounds, that is precisely what the Extra Terrestrial
Hypothesis expects us to believe.
+ Radar detected UFO's?
Let's think about that for a moment.
If the result of the US Stealth project, which renders an airplane
invisible to radar, has been in effect for 25 years or more, how is it
possible that spaceships using an inconceivable technology cannot make
themselves invisible to radar? On the contrary, I propose that, if a
UFO appears on a radar screen that in itself precludes that it is of
extra terrestrial origin.
Unless, of course, the whole UFO
phenomena is nothing more than a vast theatrical production and that
the witnesses and investigators are nothing more than puppets of a
demonic intelligence. However, that possibility implies frightening
philosophical scenarios which would terrify the typical UFO student.
But let us continue....
+ For the human being to reach our current appearance, millions of
years of evolution have taken place as it adapted to the conditions of
our planet. Conditions which depended on innumerable factors like the
atmosphere composition, density and pressure, distance from the Sun,
etc., etc. If any of those factors had been different we would not look
even look close to the way we do. Then, why do the alleged extra
terrestrial beings always have that humanoid look? How could we
possibly expect that there is another planet in the Universe that has
conditions so close to ours that its inhabitants would look like us?
The probabilities are simply staggering for that to be possible.
In my opinion, it is an aberration to present the UFO's as extra
terrestrial machines made of metal. If they are machines made of metal
- and many seem to be like airplanes, helicopters, satellites, or
secret prototypes - I doubt that they are of extra terrestrial origin.
+ And, what about the UFO's of the past?, argue the defenders of the
Extra Terrestrial Hypothesis when those questions are raised. A minimal
logical meditation about some of the classic astroarcheological events
dismantle such arguments.
The Nazca Lines - a UFO landing port?
From the confirmed reports it is obvious that the UFO's do not need
runways. Their amazing aeronautic capacity clearly show that they can
land and take off where and how they wish.
How about the bullet riddled Broken Hill skull (3)?
I seriously doubt that extra terrestrial beings capable of traveling
through "cosmic worms", neutralize the increase of their mass as they
approach and surpass the speed of light, jump across parallel
universes, etc., etc. will arrive in our planet with a shotgun in hand.
+ What about the Biblical UFO's? I will take only one case and discuss
it:
Ezechiel's vision (4)
The American engineer, J. B. Blumrich,
technologically recreated the mystical vision of the prophet. This has
become a classic of extraterrestrial technology in the Old Testament -
"certified" by his credentials of being an engineer for NASA. All who
know about Blumrich's design know that he explained the Four Living
Creatures as a vehicle equipped with four propellers, a hydraulic
landing gear as well as wheels.
Stop and think! How is it possible that extra terrestrials who travel
across the Universe still use helicopter like vehicles?
After years of investigation, I have no doubt that the UFO phenomena is
a reality but I cannot intellectually accept the Extra Terrestrial
Hypothesis as the means to explain it.
Typically "professional skeptics" deny the existence of UFO's because
extra terrestrials could not be coming to Earth. By using such valid
logic - that extra terrestrials could not be coming to Earth - they
deny the existence of UFO's
which is undeniable.
The question that still needs to be answered is:
What are the
UFO's, given reality that they are not vessels used by extra
terrestrials traveling across the Universe.
