Dispelling
the theory of the alleged brothers of Jesus in a few lines
FROM OUR FILES: February
24th, 2009
From miguel de Portugal
Do you ever wonder why... every other illuminated, researcher,
historian and/or enemy of the Faith ascribe full and/or half brothers
and sisters to Jesus, yet, from the Cross He said (in reference to Mary
and John): "Woman, behold thy son."
After that, He said to the disciple: "Behold thy Mother". And from that
hour, the disciple took Her to his own." [John 19:26-27]
Obviously if Jesus had had full or half sisters and brothers, according
their custom, Mary would have stayed with them and not be with John
henceforth - even all the way to Ephesus.

Good Day!
In your article The Home of the Virgin Mary in Ephesus (1) you neglect to mention
the valiant efforts and critical contribution of Sr. Marie
DeMandat-Grancey.
Sr. Marie de Mandat-Grancey, Foundress of Mary's House, in the French
nun who gave up wealth, power and position to serve the poor, the sick,
and the orphaned with the Daughters of Charity. Sr. Marie's zeal to
find Mary's House,.... resulted in the expedition that would locate
Mary's House in 1891.
Not only did Sr. Marie provide the financial means to acquire the
entire area of Panagia Copouli (2),
but she tirelessly labored for 12 years to restore, preserve and
protect Mary's House and now for the past 100+ years pilgrims of all
faiths, including Muslims and Christians, pray peacefully side by side
there.
L
A. We thank you for sharing
with us this information. We will give due credit to Sr. Marie in the
referenced page. (1)
We tend to play down the instruments used by God to fulfill His Will
for, as He said:
Amen,
amen I say to you: The servant is not greater than his lord; neither is
the apostle greater than he that sent him. [John 13:16]
We rather keep the eyes focused on God and not on His instruments,
beyond acknowledging their "Yes!" to God
and assisting them - should they still be alive - in the discharging of
her/his duties.
Sadly the Catholic Faith has been turned into a glorified Santería
Religion - a reality God complained about through the Prophet Mohammed.
(3) To wit:
"They
take their priests and their anchorites to be their lords in derogation
of God..." [S IX 31]
and
"O ye
who believe! There are indeed many among the priests and anchorites,
who in falsehood devour the substance of men and hinder (them) from the
Way of God. And there are those who bury silver and spend it not in the
Way of God: announce unto them a most grievous penalty". [S
IX 34]
A complain that miguel de Portugal does not cease to make - from even
before he had read it in the Qur'an.
Regarding footnote (2):
There cannot be a "grave of the Blessed Virgin". Mary was indeed
Assumed into Heaven for She could not die as we know death - death is
the consequence of sin and She was truly sinless. Jesus died because He
assumed OUR sins and expiated for them - an expiation that only becomes
active on an individual basis once we choose - out of our free will and
not coerced as Escrivites and other sectarians are (4) - to take up our cross
and follow Him. (5)
Once again, thank you for writing.

(2) Panaghia Capouli or “The
Door of the Holiest,” is a term that has come to refer not only to the
Holy Virgin’s House, Meryem Ana Evi, but also many surrounding areas of
Ephesus including the grave of the Blessed Virgin, the Chapel built and
rebuilt in this place by devotees over the years, and the Way of the
Cross carved into the hill where Our Lady once walked and prayed.

Conversion
of sinners does not mean they have to become Roman Catholics
FROM OUR FILES: March 11,
2005
From BMF @ USA
Does 'Pray
for the conversion of sinners' mean that sinners (namely
non-believers) should convert and become a Roman Catholic or just a
conversion of the heart to Our Lord Jesus Christ, is meant? Does it
really matter if a conversion does not lead one to become a member of
the catholic church?
Thank you in advance and God bless,
BMF
A. The best way for us to
explain the meaning of 'Pray for the
conversion of sinners' is utilizing the Parable of the Prodigal
Son as it was further explained in our Document "Do Not Despair - Do
Not Give Up!" (1)
When we pray for the conversion of sinners, we are presenting God the
"ransom" justly demanded by Divine Justice so that He may utilize said
ransom, in the manner that we have explained in yet another document (2). As the result of said
magnificent Divine mechanism, the sinner - the Prodigal Son - becomes
aware of his situation, turns around and begins his journey back to the
Father through Jesus Christ.
No, it does not mean that the individual must become a member of the
Catholic Church. However, as we have explained (3), the Roman Catholic
Church contains the greatest concentration of truths revealed by God to
man, and, as with the Orthodox Church, it has a treasure trove of
Sacraments which are truly supernatural assistance in our journey back
to the Father. Nonetheless, that still does not mean that one has to be
a Roman Catholic to be saved as it is implied in far too many cases (4).
Yes - Jesus Christ is an
absolute requirement for Salvation, however, those who do not
know Him as the result of the failure of the Roman Catholic
Administrators (5)
will be given an opportunity by God before the final body-soul
separation is completed. We are aware of the spiritual mechanism and
are awed by the Unfathomable Mercy of God but, how it works, it is not
for us to reveal at this point. It is not necessary. Just believe in
the Infinite Mercy of God!
