INTRODUCTION
The Holy Scriptures are a truly inexhaustible source of wisdom,
teachings and warnings. In essence - humanity would not need another
book or text to navigate through Time if the treasures from the Holy
Scriptures were dispensed through individuals who were intent in
serving God (and thus humanity) instead of themselves.
Take the apparently well known story of Joseph in Egypt. A close friend
of The M+G+R Foundation
shared with us the view of Joseph's story through a very different lens
– a different, but not a distorting, lens.
This angle of Joseph's story is so important that we have chosen to
transform it into a full fledged document.
DETAILS
Below we will reproduce exactly what we received. In the DISCUSSION portion of this
document we will comment upon it.
Our correspondent said:
I reread the chapters in question, and
find ambiguities in Joseph's role that I had not noticed before.
The relevant parts of the chapters are below, with bold added by me.
Comments are in
bold blue and within brackets []. It appears that Pharaoh and
Joseph used the occasion of the famine in Egypt to put the whole
economy under State control, and to enslave the people.

Chapter 41 of Genesis
Joseph interpreteth the two dreams of Pharao: he is made ruler over all
Egypt.
[1] After two years Pharao had a dream. He thought he stood by the
river, [2] Out of which came up seven kine, very beautiful and fat: and
they fed in marshy places. [3] Other seven also came up out of the
river, ill favoured, and leanfleshed: and they fed on the very bank of
the river, in green places: [4] And they devoured them, whose bodies
were very beautiful and well conditioned. So Pharao awoke. [5] He slept
again, and dreamed another dream: Seven ears of corn came up upon one
stalk full and fair:
[6] Then seven other ears sprung up thin and blasted, [7] And devoured
all the beauty of the former. Pharao awaked after his rest: [8] And
when morning was come, being struck with fear, he sent to all the
interpreters of Egypt, and to all the wise men: and they being called
for, he told them his dream, and there was not any one that could
interpret it. [9] Then at length the chief butler remembering, said: I
confess my sin: [10] The king being angry with his servants, commanded
me and the chief baker to be cast into the prison of the captain of the
soldiers:
[11] Where in one night both of us dreamed a dream foreboding things to
come. [12] There was there a young man a Hebrew, servant to the same
captain of the soldiers: to whom we told our dreams, [13] And we heard
what afterwards the event of the thing proved to be so. For I was
restored to my office: and he was hanged upon a gibbet. [14] Forthwith
at the king's command, Joseph was brought out of the prison, and they
shaved him, and changing his apparel, brought him in to him. [15] And
he said to him: I have dreamed dreams, and there is no one that can
expound them: Now I have heard that thou art very wise at interpreting
them.
[16] Joseph answered: Without me, God shall give Pharao a prosperous
answer. [17] So Pharao told what he had dreamed: Methought I stood upon
the bank of the river, [18] And seven kine came up out of the river
exceeding beautiful and full of flesh: and they grazed on green places
in a marshy pasture. [19] And behold, there followed these, other seven
kine, so very ill favoured and lean, that I never saw the like in the
land of Egypt: [20] And they devoured and consumed the former,
[21] And yet gave no mark of their being full: but were as lean and ill
favoured as before. I awoke, and then fell asleep again, [22] And
dreamed a dream: Seven ears of corn grew upon one stalk, full and very
fair. [23] Other seven also thin and blasted, sprung of the stock: [24]
And they devoured the beauty of the former: I told this dream to the
conjecturers, and there is no man that can expound it. [25] Joseph
answered: The king's dream is one: God hath shewn to Pharao what he is
about to do.
[26] The seven beautiful kine, and the seven full ears, are seven years
of plenty: and both contain the same meaning of the dream. [27] And the
seven lean and thin kine that came up after them, and the seven thin
ears that were blasted with the burning wind, are seven years of famine
to come: [28] Which shall be fulfilled in this order: Behold, there
shall come seven years of great plenty in the whole land of Egypt: [30]
After which shall follow other seven years of so great scarcity, that
all the abundance before shall be forgotten: for the famine shall
consume all the land,
[31] And the greatness of the scarcity shall destroy the greatness of
the plenty. [32] And for that thou didst see the second time a dream
pertaining to the same thing: it is a token of the certainty, and that
the word of God cometh to pass, and is fulfilled speedily. [33] Now
therefore let the king provide a wise and industrious man, and make him
ruler over the land of Egypt: [34] That he may appoint overseers over
all the countries: and gather into barns the fifth part of the fruits,
during the seven fruitful years, [35] That shall now presently ensue:
and let all the corn be laid up under Pharao's hands and be reserved in
the cities.
[36] And let it be in readiness, against the famine of seven years to
come, which shall oppress Egypt, and the land shall not be consumed
with scarcity. [37] The counsel pleased Pharao and all his servants.
[38] And he said to them: Can we find such another man, that is full of
the spirit of God? [39] He said therefore to Joseph:Seeing God hath
shewn thee all that thou hast said, can I find one wiser and one like
unto thee? [40] Thou shalt be over my house, and at the commandment of
thy mouth all the people shall obey: only in the kingly throne will I
be above thee.
[41] And again Pharao said to Joseph: Behold, I have appointed thee
over the whole land of Egypt. 42[42] And he took his ring from his own
hand, and gave it into his hand: and he put upon him a robe of silk,
and put a chain of gold about his neck. [43] And he made him go up into
his second chariot, the crier proclaiming that all should bow their
knee before him, and that they should know he was made governor over
the whole land of Egypt.
[44] And the king said to Joseph: I am Pharao; without thy commandment
no man shall move hand or foot in all the land of Egypt. [45] And he
turned his name, and called him in the Egyptian tongue, The saviour of
the world. And he gave him to wife Aseneth the daughter of
Putiphare
priest of Heliopolis. Then Joseph went out to the land of Egypt:
[Note: Joseph was
made second-in-command over a totalitarian theocracy, which Egypt was,
and was given dictatorial power, and the title of "the savior of the
world".]
[46] (Now he was thirty years old when he stood before king Pharao) and
he went round all the countries of Egypt. [47] And the fruitfulness of
the seven years came: and the corn being bound up into sheaves was
gathered together into the barns of Egypt. [48] And all the abundance
of grain was laid up in every city. [49] And there was so great
abundance of wheat, that it was equal to the sand of the sea, and the
plenty exceeded measure. [50] And before the famine came, Joseph had
two sons born: whom Aseneth the daughter of Putiphare priest of
Heliopolis bore unto him. [51] And he called the name of the firstborn
Manasses, saying: God hath made me to forget all my labours, and my
father's house. [52] And he named the second Ephraim, saying: God hath
made me to grow in the land of my poverty.
[53] Now when the seven years of the plenty that had been in Egypt were
past: [54] The seven years of scarcity, which Joseph had foretold,
began to come: and the famine prevailed in the whole world, but there
was bread in all the land of Egypt. [55] And when there also they began
to be famished, the people cried to Pharao for food. And he said to
them: Go to Joseph: and do
all that he shall say to you
[Note: A
confirmation of the total power given to Joseph]
[56] And the famine increased daily in all the land: and Joseph
opened all the barns, and sold to the Egyptians: for the famine had
oppressed them also [57] And all provinces came into Egypt, to buy
food, and to seek some relief of their want [Note: Joseph had gotten
the grain in the first place by levying a 20% tax on the harvest for 7
years. Now, he sold back to the people what he had taken as taxes. ]
Chapter 47 of Genesis
[13] For in the whole world there was want of bread, and a famine had
oppressed the land: more especially of Egypt and Chanaan. [14] Out of
which he gathered up all the money for the corn which they bought, and
brought it into the king's treasure. [15] And when the buyers wanted
money, all Egypt came to Joseph, saying: Give us bread: why should we
die in thy presence, having now no money.
[16] And he answered them: Bring me your cattle, and for them I will
give you food, if you have no money. [17] And when they had brought
them, he gave them food in exchange for their horses, and sheep, and
oxen, and asses and he maintained them that year for the exchange of
their cattle. [18] And they came the second year, and said to him: We
will not hide from our lord, how that our money is spent, and our
cattle also are gone: neither art thou ignorant that we have nothing
now left but our bodies and our lands. [19] Why therefore shall we die
before thy eyes? we will be thine, both we and our lands: buy us to be
the king's servants, and give us seed, lest for want of tillers the
land be turned into a wilderness. [20] So Joseph bought all the land of
Egypt, every man selling his possessions, because of the greatness of
the famine. And he brought it into Pharao's hands:
[Note: Joseph
centralized the means of production in the hands of the government, and
drove a hard bargain, making the people slaves in return for the grain
they needed to live. There is a parallel with Dostoyevsky's Grand
Inquisitor, who (in the tale) is honored for feeding the people with
the bread that he had taken from them.]
[21] And all its people from one end of the borders of Egypt, even to
the other end thereof, [22] Except the land of the priests, which had
been given them by the king: to whom also a certain allowance of food
was given out of the public stores, and therefore they were not forced
to sell their possessions. [23] Then Joseph said to the people: Behold
as you see, both you and your lands belong to Pharao: take seed and sow
the fields, [24] That you may have corn. The fifth part you shall give
to the king: the other four you shall have for seed, and for food for
your families and children. [25] And they answered: Our life is in thy
hand: only let my lord look favourably upon us, and we will gladly
serve the king.
[Note: In return for
their survival, the masses accepted their
enslavement]
[26] From that time unto this day, in the whole land of Egypt, the
fifth part is paid to the king, and it is become as a law, except the
land of the priests, which was free from this covenant. [27] So Israel
dwelt in Egypt, that is, in the land of Gessen, and possessed it: and
grew, and was multiplied exceedingly. [28] And he lived in it seventeen
years: and all the days of his life came to a hundred and forty-seven
years. [29] And when he saw that the day of his death drew nigh, he
called his son Joseph, and said to him: If I have found favour in thy
sight, put thy hand under my thigh; and thou shalt shew me this
kindness and truth, not to bury me in Egypt: [30] But I will sleep with
my fathers, and thou shalt take me away out of this land, and bury me
in the burying place of my ancestors. And Joseph answered him: I will
do what thou hast commanded.
[31] And he said: Swear then to me. And as he was swearing, Israel
adored God, turning to the
bed's head.
DISCUSSION
In a document (1)
published long ago, we outlined what the World Masters were (and are)
intent in achieving in the world, and how:
Step 1: The whole world,
country by country is brought into great turmoil. Propitiated by
political, financial, ethnic or religious confrontations or whatever is
the best means in each country to achieve the desired purpose:
Generalized chaos. In Summary: "Bring the world up to its boiling
point".
Step 2: A nuclear
conflagration may be started (although it is no longer necessary)
through one of the many dangerously unstable nations throughout the
world. The nation to be used as the "trigger" will be changed many times
before the non stoppable chain reaction commences.
Step 3: This will lead
to complete global chaos - wars, revolutions, financial collapses,
religious upheavals and persecutions with the intent of an
eventual world wide domination by the humanist ideology spawned by the
Soviets for decades.
In essence, Step 3 sets the stage for the eventual manifestation of the
False Christ.
As with the seven year drought in Egypt, the man made collapse of the
global socio-economic system will require "a savior", just like Joseph
was to the Egyptians. This "savior" was given to the Egyptians by a man
who pretended to be god-on-earth: the Egyptian Pharaoh. Who is and has
been pretending to be "Sweet Christ on Earth" for centuries, in
preparation for these times, if not the occupant of the Chair of Peter?
CONCLUSION
Our document commenting on the symbolism of Benedict's Caritas in
Veritate (2)
should serve as the first part of the CONCLUSION to this brief document.
The second part, we published on April 23, 2013, and we quote:
We have been made aware of the homily Francis delivered at the Mass he
officiated on the Feast Day of St. George (3). The key points follow:
[our highlights]
It is
not possible to find Jesus outside the Church: this was Pope Francis'
message as he marked his name day, the Feast of St. George, this
Tuesday celebrating Mass in the Pauline Chapel with the Cardinals
present in Rome.
And so the Church was a Mother,
the Mother of more children, of many children. It became more and more
of a Mother. A Mother who gives us the faith, a Mother who gives us an
identity. But the Christian
identity is not an identity card: Christian identity is belonging to
the Church, because all of these belonged to the Church, the Mother
Church. Because it is
not possible to find Jesus outside the Church. The great Paul VI said:
"Wanting to live with Jesus without the Church, following Jesus outside
of the Church, loving Jesus without the Church is an absurd dichotomy."
And the Mother Church that
gives us Jesus gives us our identity that is not only a seal, it
is a belonging. Identity means belonging. This belonging to the Church
is beautiful.
And let us think of the consolation
that Barnabas felt, which is "the sweet and comforting joy of
evangelizing." And let us ask the Lord for this "parrhesia", this
apostolic fervor that impels us to move forward, as brothers, all of us
forward! Forward, bringing the name of Jesus in the bosom of Holy
Mother Church, and, as St. Ignatius said, "hierarchical and Catholic".
So be it.
First of all I must thank God for having Francis made our work easier.
As we clearly
explained thirteen years ago (4),
even the Congregation for the
Doctrine of the Faith, under Ratzinger's watch, had to back down
from such heretical claim in a special insert dated September 6, 2000,
in the L'Osservatore Romano (5).
Not even Ratzinger could get away with claiming that there was no
Salvation outside the Roman Catholic Church.
Now, Bergoglio, not only resurrects such claim but continues to peddle
the idea that the Church is our Mother - a theological error and a
mystical scandal - which we have exposed elsewhere.
The Church - the Mystical Body of Christ - is made up of each and every
soul seeking Christ; the clergy and Hierarchy are the Administrators;
and Mary - by an act of the same Paul VI he quotes - is the Mother of
the Church, the Mystical Body of Christ - that is, our Mother.
Hasn't the poor man realized that all that "inter religious dialogue"
he is so fond of is sheer foolishness if "they" are already lost since
they, according to Bergoglio's home spun theology, are outside the only
vehicle of Salvation?
It seems that now Bergoglio is pandering to the traditionalists whose
elitist spirit demand to be the only members of the elite. Never mind
the fact that we are quite confident that most of them are not counted
amongst the Elect (6).
We are sure that in a homily directed to the Ecumenical groups he will
then promote inter religious dialogue. It seems that Cafeteria
Catholicism continues to reign supreme and most poor disoriented and
un-Evangelized Catholics continue to feed from the "food" served at
such
Cafeteria.
