Points to Ponder About

The purpose of Points to Ponder About was to stimulate thinking that would draw the disoriented Faithful back to God and away from the hypocritical duplicity of some religious institutions which are destroying the little faith left on earth. (For a more detailed explanation, see Points to Ponder About – Purpose). What used to be posted in this section has been integrated in For Your Information and Reference.

Note: This 'Point to Ponder About' section was prepared in the years 2005-2009. Some linked documents external to this domain may have been removed from the Net, or moved to different locations, since then.

Have you ever wondered... why, even when reality cannot be hidden any more than we can hide the Sun, so many people remain on Denial? (1)

Because acceptance of reality demands action to correct what is obviously wrong. It is a human trait that God will utilize to prevent those who do not belong in His Kingdom from being saved. To wit:

10 And his disciples came and said to him: Why speakest thou to them in parables?

11 Who answered and said to them: Because to you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven: but to them it is not given. 12 For he that hath, to him shall be given, and he shall abound: but he that hath not, from him shall be taken away that also which he hath. 13 Therefore do I speak to them in parables: because seeing they see not, and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand. 14 And the prophecy of Isaias is fulfilled in them, who saith: By hearing you shall hear, and shall not understand: and seeing you shall see, and shall not perceive. 15 For the heart of this people is grown gross, and with their ears they have been dull of hearing, and their eyes they have shut: lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them. [Matthew 13]

Yes, the Mercy of God is indeed unfathomable but conditions do apply.

Have you ever wondered... why no more Jews of Jesus time did not follow Christianity considering the impact Jesus had in the local population - if nothing else - through the massive physical and spiritual healing, resurrections and "various and sundry" miracles?

Wonder no more!

It was because of the emotional blackmail of the Temple Masters; i.e. the Jews would be condemned if they followed "that heretic".

Do you now understand the gravity of the Vatican's original Dominus Iesus (1) through which the world was essentially informed that there was no salvation outside the Church?

From the time of His Crucifixion to the destruction of the Temple, as Divine Retribution for their stubbornness and refusal to the entreats of God, about 40 years elapsed. We assure you - the modern time Temple Masters and the new Temple - The Vatican - will not have to wait that long. (2)

Have you ever wondered... why when...

"The servants asked him, 'Do you want us to go and pull them (the weeds that had been planted amongst the wheat) up?' 29" 'He answered, 'no, because while you are pulling the weeds, you may root up the wheat with them. 30 Let both grow together until the harvest." [Matthew 13: 28-29]

Wonder no more....

(a) To uproot the bad seed would indeed result in harming too much of the good seed that should not be harmed. Remember the Flood?
(b) The bad seed amongst the good seed gives the good seed the opportunity to chose good over evil as an act of its free will and not by default. What merit would we gain if we were not subject to temptation in the course of day to day living?

It may be a good idea to prayerfully review again Don't Despair - Never Give Up (1) and Take Up You Cross and Follow Me! (2)

Have you ever wondered... why society is frequently deferring to Muslim (1) and Jewish (2) sensitivities and mostly ignore Christian sensitivities?

Take a long, hard and unbiased look at the behavior of Christians in relation to their professed faith, on a worldwide scale and across all of its manifestations, and compare it with that of Muslims and Jews. What do you see?

That is the reason! For those who cannot see it - we could not possibly show it to you until your eyes are wide open, and then, you would not need us to show it to you.

Have you ever wondered... why if the Evangelization effort was not a failure (1) Mary has not stopped appearing since the 19th century (2) trying to shepherd Her children in the right direction?

If the fault is not due to the Evangelizers - as Cardinal Rouco-Varela claims (3) - but because people just do not respond to the Evangelization - in spite of Don John Bosco (4) proving Rouco-Varela wrong even before he was born - why did Jesus bother to set up an organization to Evangelize us instead of having Mary and the Archangels doing the job instead? After all She proved quite effective in Mexico - as Our Lady of Guadalupe - in converting millions of those who, according to Rouco-Varela (3), did not care to respond.

Have you ever wondered.... if the "party line" from Rome insists that there is no salvation outside the Church (1), how come the criminal who was crucified next to Jesus was assured that "... this day thou shalt be with me in paradise. " [Luke 23:43]

Let's face it, the criminal was not inscribed in the local Parish, had not been Baptized nor had gone through the Sacrament of Reconciliation.

The answer to this man-made riddle lies in that same Chapter of the Gospel of Luke [23:39-42]. Just before Jesus assured this poor sinner of such glorious future, man accused of crimes had said:

Neither dost thou fear God, seeing thou art condemned under the same condemnation? And we indeed justly, for we receive the due reward of our deeds; but this man hath done no evil. And he said to Jesus: Lord, remember me when thou shalt come into thy kingdom.

The criminal acknowledged: (a) the Divinity of Jesus; and (b) his sinfulness and deserving of punishment. Then he pleaded for Mercy (2).

How could our loving God possibly resist this? Didn't He even heal the servant of a pagan Roman Centurion who appealed to Him?

Brethren, the Sacraments (3), well received, make our lives in Time and passage to Eternity easier, but anyone who think that organized religion is an absolute requirement for Salvation needs to be Evangelized.... starting with most of the religious leaders.

Using political lingo: "Read His Lips!" - True Faith (in God and in His promises, not in man's double talk); Sincere acknowledgment of sins; Appeal to the Unfathomable Mercy of God; and then Confident abandonment to the Will of God.

Yes - it IS that simple!

Have you ever wondered.... about the implications of the following statement by Jesus:

Amen I say to you, there hath not risen among them that are born of women a greater than John the Baptist: yet he that is the lesser in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he. [Matthew 11:11]

which was confirmed thus....

For I say to you: Amongst those that are born of women, there is not a greater prophet that John the Baptist. But he that is the lesser in the kingdom of God, is greater than he. [Luke 7:28]

For one He is placing John the Baptist above Abraham and Moses - the foundations of Judaism. Think about it. We will address the second part, ".... he that is the lesser in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.", at another time to prevent our readers from getting theo-indigestion.

Have you ever wondered..... why you hear us frequently warn about sects in the Catholic Church (1) like Opus Dei and others and seldom about Islamic terrorism?

Because as we have amply explained, terrorism is not the real problem - the real problem is religious fanaticism. (2)

It was not miguel de Portugal who said: And fear ye not them that kill the body, and are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him that can destroy both soul and body in hell. [Matthew 10:28]

Have you ever wondered..... if there is a connection between:

And rend your hearts, and not your garments, and turn to the Lord your God: for he is gracious and merciful, patient and rich in mercy, and ready to repent of the evil. [Joel 2:13]
and

He spoke also this parable: A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard, and he came seeking fruit on it, and found none. And he said to the dresser of the vineyard: Behold, for these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and I find none. Cut it done therefore: why cumbereth it the ground? But he answering, said to him: Lord, let it alone this year also, until I dig about it, and dung it. And if happily it bear fruit: but if not, then after that thou shalt cut it down. [Luke 13:6-9]

and

And seeing a certain fig tree by the way side, he came to it, and found nothing on it but leaves only, and he saith to it: May no fruit grow on thee henceforward for ever. And immediately the fig tree withered away. [Matthew 21:19]

The one connection is that even Divine Patience has a limit. Now, let us review the following....

In the first message of Garabandal (1) on October 18th, 1961 Mary said :

We (mankind) must make many sacrifices, perform much penance and visit the Blessed Sacrament frequently. But first, we must lead good lives. If we do not, a chastisement will befall us. The cup is already filling up and if we do not change, a very great chastisement will come upon us.

In the second and last message of Garabandal (1) on June 18th, 1965 Mary said :

As my message of October 18 has not be complied with and has not been made known to the world, I am advising you that this is the last one. Before, the cup was filling up. Now it is flowing over....

Anyone who still thinks : Oh, God is Merciful - He will not punish us needs to be reminded that because the messages of Mary through Fatima, at the beginning of the 20th century, was ignored (2) Russia went communist, spread its errors throughout the world and World War II yielded 50 to 100 million deaths.

Should we feel sorrow for those who refuse to heed the last warnings? No, we do not. We only feel sorrow for those who have been kept in the dark by those whom they trust more than they trust God.

Published on September 29th, 2008 [Feast of the Archangels Michael, Gabriel and Raphael]

Have you ever noticed..... the parallel that exists between the Most Holy Trinity and the main Archangels Michael, Gabriel and Raphael (1)?

Michael is the leader as appointed by God; Gabriel is the communicator, always delivering the key messages from Heaven; and Raphael seems to be the healer and consoler.

We could almost say that: Michael is reflection of God the Father; Gabriel is a reflection of God the Son - the Word of God; and Raphael is a reflection of God the Holy Ghost - the healer and consoler.

Amazing coherence that in the Divine realm is a given fact.
