On
the post made on July 25, 2010, on our
FYI&R (0) page we stated:
Did
you know that.... the abortion rate in the US
peaked in 1990 and has steadily dropped since? (1) (2)
The
U.S. abortion rate has
reached its lowest level in three decades, according to a new report
released on January 2008.
"We don't know why," said study
author Rachel Jones, senior
research associate at the Guttmacher Institute, a nonprofit group that
focuses on reproductive issues. The findings will be published in the
March issue of the institute's journal, Perspectives on Sexual and
Reproductive Health.
The actual number of abortions
dropped to a new low, with
1.2 million abortions in 2005, compared to a high of 1.6 million
abortions in 1990.

admits. However, by an obvious act of Divine Providence, we found what
may very well be the reason for it – in a twenty-year-old file folder
which somehow has survived my journey - which, at times, feels like "an
Eternity tumbling down
Niagara Falls in a barrel" must.
BACKGROUND
Through what appeared to be "pure chance" miguel
de Portugal came across a long forgotten file that somehow has survived
twenty-nine years
of his life-on-the-go at the service of God. That was the first sign of
the Hand of Providence.
In the afternoon of coming across those files, while in prayer,
miguel was inspired
to look at the abortion statistics which would encompass the year 1990,
when his original documentation was prepared. This he did on the
following
day and what he found resulted in the FYI&R posting partially
reproduced
above. That was the second sign of the Hand of Providence. Miraculously
the abortion rate in the US peaked out in 1990 and started to steadily
decline with no official or scientific reason.
It was then that we were moved to publish the information contained
in that long forgotten file as
a
reminder to the Faithful that if we do our part, God will do His
part
proportionally.
The Hand of Providence was confirmed when miguel noticed the date of
the letter he sent to the editor of SOUL Magazine - July 23, 1990.
Exactly
20 years - to the day - before he Providentially ran into the long
forgotten file
folder containing said letter as well as the rest of the documentation.
DETAILS
We have been able to process the contents of the twenty year old folder
and have tried to present the information in the most user-friendly
format.
The document package is composed of:
(a) A letter to SOUL Magazine letting
them know how Michael (now miguel de Portugal) planned to promote their
sponsored Supernatural
Rescue Mission. (4)
(b) A flier
composed from the SOUL Magazine article promoting the Supernatural
Rescue Mission (5)
(c) The
letter that would accompany said flier to parish priests and
ecclesiastical authorities. (6)
The documentation has been presented "as is" with very
minor editing: (a) miguel's civil name has been deleted; and
(b) two critical sentences have been deleted as an act of charity.
It is important that we now underscore that these letters accurately
describe our position in 1990 regarding SOUL Magazine and The Blue Army
of Our Lady of Fatima. However, our view of these organizations has
changed since then, due to circumstances and events that became
manifest after 1991. We have explained this matter in another document. (7)
CONCLUSION
Obviously we cannot determine or claim the effect Michael's
effort had on slowing down abortion in the US. However, we can
resolutely claim, without a shred of a doubt, that the SOUL Magazine's
sponsored Supernatural Rescue Mission was responsible for turning the
abortion tide in the US.
Imagine what could have been accomplished if more people had become
more involved in the Rescue Mission.
This is just another example that proves that what Jesus never tires of
reminding us - as quoted in Luke 11: 8-13....

....is simply true!
We just have to believe it so that it can be manifested.
