We all know that NOTHING will stop satan from trying! This does not amaze me. But, as you have always said, those that have eyes that see and ears that hear know where this is coming from.

Unfortunately, there are people we must try to urgently reach to open their eyes and ears before it is too late.

I pray we ALL will do something to try. You, of course, take us to the water, by example, and we must do the same. I promise to do the same.

1. If there is someone walking on this Earth that can categorically, and with absolute certainty, state that such claim is the greatest perversion of the truth yet, is miguel de Portugal - and he does! It even surpasses the alleged conspiratorial alliance between Jesus and Judas Iscariot

2. The publication of the quoted book has forced our hand to speak about the so frequently invoked Dead Sea Scrolls - statements which have been in our proverbial "ink well" for one year.

We have had quite an interest in reviewing the newly acclaimed "fountain of truth", yet did not know where to find a reliable source. Providence led miguel to a book he did not know existed. The book was at a used book store in Florida [God does all He can to reduce our expenses...].

Its title: "The Dead Sea Scrolls - A New Translation" by Messrs. M. Wise, M., Abegg, Jr. and E. Cook., Published by HarperSan Francisco. Copyright 1996, ISBN 0-0-069200-6 (cloth) and 0-0-069201-4 (pbk.)

The book reproduced all the texts from the Dead Sea Scrolls which had been translated as far as that year.

miguel literally "plowed" through such gift from Heaven to confirm what he already new "otherwise": IT DOES NOT, in any way, invalidate ANYTHING that we may find in a reasonable translation the Old and New Testaments. What may appear different is so "off-the-wall" that it falls to nearest land fill, so to speak, by its own dead weight. In actuality, the contents of the Dead Sea Scrolls reinforces many key items found in the Old and New Testament.

You know that we do not deny that there is other valid information outside (but complementary) of the Holy Scriptures (b), but we assure you that you can dispose of ANY claim which, invoking the Dead Sea Scrolls, invalidate the underpinnings of Monotheistic Faith.

We ask you to share this information with as many individuals that you can reach and we encourage the serious students of the Word of God to locate the referenced book on the Dead Sea Scrolls and review it. Grant it - it is "heavy reading", and, at times, plain boring, but for the serious students of the Word of God it may be well worth the effort.

Now, we will see, how long after this communication hits the "air waves" we start hearing about "new and revealing translations" of the Dead Sea Scrolls... (with the intent to invalidate what we have written above) - Thanks be to God we are used to that by now!

Regarding the impending - and much announced - food shortages, I submit my personal observations from real life experience - which might be of interest to you and to my family at your web site.

It is generally understood that most larger supermarket stores have a 48-72 hour supply of foodstuffs - perishable and non perishable. Now that is based upon food service industry statistics, and what one may read on many web sites about preparedness for natural disasters. The "48-72 hour" window will vary depending upon the size of the store, average daily sales volume, and stockroom/refrigerator capacity. The parameters of that "window" are assuming the store is fully stocked, deliveries stop, and normal sales volume.

Of course, regardless of the situation (war, natural disaster, crop failure, etc.), in any disaster scenario, people will panic, and you will have "runs" on the food stores..... just as you might at a bank in a financial meltdown!

Those over a certain age will remember the famous "Johnny Carson Toilet Paper Crisis" of the 70's. Making a joke on his tv show, Carson innocently insinuated that there was a toilet paper shortage. There was not..... until he said those words. California in particular was very hard hit..... store shelves emptied quickly..... people even fought over toilet paper! Carson went on national TV to apologize, and soothe frayed nerves. Of course, that was only an unintentional hoax..... (1)

My recent observation is this: some stores in my area are NOT fully stocked, and I noticed this about a year ago. On a typical shelf I noticed that certain items were only stocked 1-2 rows deep..... as compared with the normal 5-6 deep. Thus they do not have as much of "x" as one might think..... and I purposely went around to different stores and noticed the same thing, consistently over the past year. In Wal-Mart over the last 6 months, I have noticed that they seem to have less & less of certain items..... and some are consistently out of stock for weeks. In particular, the variety of frozen vegetables has been greatly reduced. The brand selection & variety of certain canned goods has shrunk noticeably.

This has been done subtly, gradually - so most have not noticed this. Though I have encountered other shoppers verbalizing to me that there seems to be "no choices..... nothing left", frequently.

Now this might only be in my particular region..... or it may be appearing in a scattered, randomized pattern nationwide. Too subtle yet to arouse any open panic.

But I felt that I must pass this on.

I just did (a few minutes ago) your request with the USA TODAY blog under the Pope Benedict XVI news story.

May the Peace of God be upon you, dear brothers and sisters!

We have a unique and special request of you.

What makes this request "unique and special" is that I do not think that we have ever requested you - point blank - to make a concerted effort to share information with as many people as you could possibly do.

This extraordinary request matches the extraordinary circumstances: The visit of Benedict XVI to the US and the seemingly never ending stream of apologies and emotional words expressing great contrition for the sexual abuse within the US Catholic Church.

The Message

This effusive public display of contrition - as you must already know - was a carefully staged, and quite hollow, event. All of those words had been carefully written in Rome long before his arrival in the US. The script, so to speak, for a well planned and choreographed Mea Culpa mega-event.

Yesterday's New York Times (2) brought to mind the obscenity of such behavior. In the headline we read that: Vatican Hints at Changes in Church Laws on Abuse

Two brief quotes from the article are:

After three days in which Pope Benedict XVI has persistently addressed the scandal of child sexual abuse by priests, Cardinal William J. Levada said on Friday that the church was considering changes to the canon laws that govern how it handles such cases.

and

The comments by the cardinal (William J. Levada), who heads the Vatican office that rules on cases of sexual abuse that are forwarded to Rome by bishops throughout the world, were apparently spontaneous, and came in response to questions from three reporters as he left a luncheon in New York given by Time magazine.

Do you remember who Cardinal Levada is and what is his background?

For those who are not familiar with US Law and customs - if what has been published by Levada in the main line press were not true, a simple phone call from the Archdiocese's attorneys would have the offensive and defaming statements removed immediately from the public domain. They have been on, some of them since the year 2002, and the remain available to one and all.

Archbishop William J. Levada is getting a big promotion, courtesy of Benedict XVI. Levada is moving from the Archdiocese of San Francisco to become the Prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith (CDF) - Benedict's former position.

It was Benedict XVI who appointed Levada to the position he held as Cardinal Ratzinger - Prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, a position which, as you read above, has a major role in the handling of the complaints that reach Rome regarding clerical sexual abuse . Therefore, Ratzinger - Benedict XVI - was well aware of what was going on in the US Catholic Church and did nothing about it.

What we are seeing here is an outrageous mockery of the innocent Faithful of the US who are not aware of the truth behind the scenes - and another grave offense to God.

We ask you: Who, if not a satan-guided soul, would participate in such a sick charade?

Please get this information out as far as wide as you can. If people do not want to believe that this man is the AntiChrist - fine; at least they should be fully aware of how he is mocking the Faithful.

May God Bless your every effort in assisting those members of the Elect whose eyes and ears are still closed, and who, because of that, will suffer greatly unless they are opened with black and white irrefutable facts.

We can do so much - but the rest must be done by those who have already Seen and Heard.

Two things bear mentioning in light of what you have written about the earthquake in Illinois (see posting below dated April 20th).

The Midwest US earthquake. In addition to the irregularity which you have noted, there was also the rather shocking disparity in reporting its magnitude in the media. I heard & saw reports that it was both 4.1 and 5.2. (1) On the Richter scale that is a BIG difference!

You may well be correct that incidents may either be under-reported or altogether covered up - possibly to prevent panic. This occurrence was on the New Madrid fault - which is a major fault line. If memory serves me right, the last time there was a massive earthquake involving the Madrid fault were actually two: 1811 and 1812 (2). I recall that it was defined as horribly devastating - yet had little effect on human population at that time, as the general area was sparsely settled, and there were NO major buildings then.

From what I recall of History Channel program, if the same size quake struck the New Madrid fault now (as then) ..... it would make the 1906 San Francisco quake look like a Sunday picnic!

In reference to your correspondence showing (1) that the appropriate authorities issued two notifications of the earthquake.... to later cancel the as if never happened...

Well, I just heard it on my news, and I also went to the link you provided, and it is still there, so how can it be deleted by the place that keeps the records, or whatever that place is that you say is deleting events?

You are correct in that all we can do about everything now is to pray.

As a followup to your recent post about the interference of the State of Israel in US-North Korean peace moves, here's more ... about Israel's habit of aligning itself with dictators worldwide ... including Mugabe, the tyrant of Zinbabwe.

"In his long and bloody career as first and only President of Zimbabwe, the 84-year-old Mugabe has engaged in a systematic campaign of murder, racist demagoguery, and wholesale looting to maintain himself and his cronies in power. Not since Idi Amin (R1) has such a bloody-minded sociopath and mass murderer arisen out of the dark heart of Africa. The United States, which doesn't mind supporting the continent's worst dictators, from Hosni Mubarak (R2) in Egypt to Meles Zenawi (R3) in Ethiopia, won't touch Mugabe with a ten-foot pole. This was triumphantly broadcast on Zimbabwe state television on the eve of elections, followed by a fresh wave of repression aimed at pro-democracy activists. The tape turned out to have been doctored, but the broadcast accomplished its task: providing a momentary rationale for Mugabe's reign of terror, which continues to this day.

So well-known is Israel's unstinting support for Mugabe that the democratic opposition has accused (R13) the government of bringing in (R14) computer "consultants" from the Mossad (R15) to manipulate voter rolls. (Which certainly surprised (R16) at least one Israeli software producer.)

What in the name of all that's holy is Israel, a democratic state founded by socialist idealists, doing supporting one of the most reviled despots on earth – one who, furthermore, is no friend of Israel, at least officially. The answer may be found in certain Israeli-based economic interests (R17), which, in turn, could have an inordinate influence on that nation's Africa policy – specifically (R18) in the case of Zimbabwe and the "Democratic Republic of the Congo."

Unfortunately, Israel's policy in regard to Zimbabwe is not the exception that proves the rule: it is business as usual.

The moral depravity of Israel's African policies are highlighted by the close (R19) cooperation that existed between Tel Aviv and the apartheid regime of South Africa (R20). Israel provided (R21) the expertise, experience, and technology, as well as other covert military aid, which enabled (R22) white Pretoria to hold off the African National Congress for as long as it did. And, as Jimmy Carter and others have pointed out, Israel has replicated (R23) its former ally's policy toward black South Africans in the occupied territories.

In reviewing the facts, it is hard to come up with a single despotic government that hasn't received some sort of aid or assistance from the Israelis: Colombia (R24), where "former" Mossad agents train government anti-terrorist units and right-wing paramilitaries – El Salvador (R25), where arms and expertise provided to successive right-wing juntas helped stabilize these US-supported regimes – Guatemala (R26), where "former" Israeli military and intelligence officers provided security for the notoriously repressive Guatemalan military dictatorship – and the pattern is repeated throughout (R27) South and Central America.

The list goes on: Iran, under the rule of the Shah Reza Pahlavi, was the scene of the notorious SAVAK's worst crimes: the Iranian secret police reportedly were schooled (R28) in techniques of torture by the Mossad.

What is it with the Israelis? Why do they have a predilection for murderous tyrants? What seems, at first, like a pattern of sheer moral perversity may be broken down, in specific cases, into discrete economic, strategic, and diplomatic objectives. Yet one has to be astonished – and more than a little horrified – at the complete amorality that guides the Israeli government's actions around the world.

This record of Israeli support for dictators and despots worldwide is, perhaps, part of the reason for that country's growing unpopularity (R29) on a global scale: however, in the US, where the Israel lobby wields inordinate power (R30) in government and the media, it's quite a different story. Here, support for Israel is in the 70 percent range – a testament to the supposedly nonexistent power of the Lobby, and the relative ignorance of and indifference to world affairs exhibited by most Americans."

Now how can anybody in their right mind look at the photo of Ratzinger on the cover of Catholic New York (1), and not say "Houston..... we have a problem..."! Look at this man..... just look at the man pictured. To use the old joke: would you buy a used car from this man? I wouldn't. As one who was in business, I am quite used to quickly reading faces & non verbal communication. This man's countenance here just radiates evil. My first thought when I say this was: "why in heaven's name would an official Catholic publication use a picture of the "pope" which so totally reeks of evil?".

I interpret this two ways: 1) "blindness", and 2) it is being done on purpose. In re #2, I would say that here God is using evil men for His Will: that those "who have eyes to see" are being given such a painfully obvious hint, that they might be awakened to supreme danger! Those who have done this for reason #2 (to put such evil "in your face") are unknowingly doing God's Will.

"Pope Benedict XVI will make history in New York April 19 (Passover) when he becomes the first pope to celebrate Mass in St. Patrick's Cathedral..... it is being made even more beautiful for the papal Mass. Msgr. Robert T. Ritchie, the cathedral rector, heads the team that is accomplishing the work. "We want to make sure that the place is in tip—top, spiffy order," he told CNY. On the to—do list were such items as installing new television monitors, renovating a side altar and polishing floors and brass fixtures....." (2)

And I comment ...while the poor of NYC starve, go without adequate medical care, or are sued by Archdiocesan Catholic hospitals for such medical care bills - by Egan's "charitable works".

"Concelebrating on the altar will be as many as 14 cardinals and 160 bishops. More than 900 priests will concelebrate from their places in the pews..... In a departure from tradition, concelebrating priests will be in pews at the periphery of the nave, rather than in pews near the sanctuary. The reason, Msgr. Ritchie explained, is so that when the priests stand during the consecration, they will not impede the participation of those seated behind them by blocking the view....." (2)

So much for Transubstantiation! (3) Now, seemingly, it can be done by "remote control"?

"Florence D'Urso, a philanthropist and benefactor of the archdiocese, will supply flowers." (2)

She is one of the fiscal glitterati of Egan's, who sits on the boards of a number of the health care/child services "charities". So rather then worshipping Christ in truth, and giving of her wealth directly to the starving poor..... she makes an offering of flowers to the Antichrist (4)?

"Dr. Jennifer Pascual, director of music..... is overseeing all of the music for papal events in the archdiocese..... Cardinal Egan and Dr. Pascual chose the musical selections to be used, from composers including Mozart, Palestrina, Beethoven, Brahms, Rheinberger and Victoria..... "The fact that His Holiness, His Eminence and I are all classically trained pianists makes this musically exciting for me," Dr. Pascual said." (2)

The fact that the three of them are connected to Opus Dei..... and that four of those composers (regardless of any inherent beauty of their works) were known Masons (and are widely celebrated as such) is of course only to be noted by those of us living in an "alternative reality" (pardon the sarcasm!).

"The pope will be seated in the cathedra—the archbishop's chair—and will deliver his homily from a chair in front of the main altar." (2)

While I clearly understand the Pontifical ceremonial elements described here, there is an undertone here which keeps presenting in my mind imagery of the reception of the Most Worshipful Grand Master by his Fraters (regular Lodge and/or OD), seated with his back to the Unholy North (Masonic term for the location of the Judeo-Christian God)..... which is the exact orientation of said Cathedra.

Remember when many of the funniest jokes were the clean ones? Even religious ones?

Some of them still are!

It is just a matter of voluntarily avoiding filth or stopping it cold when it is being delivered.

Here is a perfect example:

Priest's Business Card

A new priest was visiting the homes of his parishioners. At one house it seemed obvious that someone was at home, but no answer came to his repeated knocks at the door. Therefore, he took out a business card and wrote "Revelation 3:20" on the back of it and stuck it in the door.

When the offering was taken up the following Sunday, he found that his card had been returned. Added to it was this cryptic message, "Genesis 3:10."

Reaching for his Bible to check out the citation, he broke up in gales of laughter. Revelation 3:20 begins "Behold, I stand at the door and knock." Genesis 3:10 reads, "I heard your voice in the garden and I was afraid for I was naked."

"A cheerful heart is good medicine" (Prov. 17:22)

Some time ago we substituted many of our communications which would have been delivered via e-mail by postings on our new page Did you know that....?

The intent was to reduce the amount of e-correspondence that the members of our lists were receiving. However, although the Did you know that....? page has become the most visited page of our Domain we feel that we are not sharing as much information with our list members as we should.

Therefore - respecting your free will we will ask you to let us know if you wish that we return to the level of e-correspondence that you received from us before Did you know that....? page.

Know that we will keep the Did you know that....? page active even if we resume the more frequent mailing pattern.
