Part 1
Debunking the Myth of "Blaming it All"
on the Vatican Council II
PURPOSE
The purpose of this brief document is to debunk the myth that all that
has gone wrong in the world since 1965 is the result of the alleged
demolishing effect of the Second Vatican Council.
BACKGROUND
The Second Vatican Council was called to order by H.H. John XXIII on
October 11, 1962 and was concluded by H.H. Paul VI on September 8,
1965. Its intent was to open the proverbial windows of the church and
let some fresh air in. Our interpretation of said intent was to salvage what was left of the
Faith which had turned into an idolatrous pagan religion (1).
We stated in an earlier document (2) that:
If we stand back and take a good look at the events in the Roman
Catholic Church and the world since H.H. John XXIII ascended to the
Throne of Peter, one can almost guess with great certainty the contents
of what they
believed (3)
to be the full Third Part of the Secret of Fatima
* H.H. John XXIII and H.H. Paul VI
tried to prepare the Church, by means of the Second Vatican Council,
for what they knew was to come .
* H.H. Paul VI declared that the smoke of satan had entered in the
Church and quickly abrogated the canon requiring official approval for
the publication of documents relating to Marian Apparitions which were
not yet approved by the Church Administration. By doing so, he opened
the doors for Heaven to speak freely and undisturbed to the faithful in
spite of the fact that the enemies of God were already well entrenched
within the Hierarchy.
* H.H. John Paul II, symbolically wrapping up the work of John XXIII
and Paul VI, thus the name John Paul,
did not stop traveling the world, personally Evangelizing it. He knew
how serious the situation was, how little time is left and that most of
the clergy and Hierarchy continues to occupy itself with worldly
matters while neglecting the flock.
If one studies all Encyclicals published by H.H. John XXIII, Paul VI
and John Paul II (up to his 10th Encyclical) and try to visualize what
the Roman Pontiffs were attempting to remedy with most of them, one
would then come to know what they believed
(3) to be the
full Third Part
of the Secret of
Fátima.
Therefore, for satan's plan to continue as intended, a great effort had
to be made to derail the outcome of the Second Vatican Council and then
blame all problems associated with Faith, Morals, Evangelization and
Church Administration on it.
The best way to debunk this fabricated myth is to pose the question
that should have been answered a long time ago.
What
really caused the massive exodus of priests and religious from the
Roman Catholic Church after Vatican II?
DETAILS
Of course, many people place the blame for such exodus squarely on the
Council and its aftermath, and justify this by quoting H.H. Paul VI's
statement: "The smoke of satan has
entered the Church."
Let us take a moment and look at the full context of such statement.
Referring
to the situation of the Church today, the Holy Father says he has the
feeling that "from some
fissure the smoke of Satan has entered the temple of God."
There is doubt, uncertainty,
problems, restlessness, dissatisfaction, confrontation. No one trusts
the Church; we trust the first profane prophet who comes to speak to us
from some newspaper or some social bike to run after him and ask him if
he has the formula for real life. And we do not feel we have instead of
being masters and masters. Doubt has entered our consciences, and
entered for windows instead had to be opened to the light. (4)
Now, let us take a walk through history. First, a personal anecdote
taking place in an Australian Seminary 20 years after H.H. Paul VI
denounced the seeping of the smoke of satan into the temple of God -
the Church.
In the early 1990's miguel de Portugal (5) became well acquainted
in Europe with a young man from Australia who had worked hard to save
enough money to spend six months in Europe visiting Marian Shrines (and
not making a vacationer's pleasure tour of Europe). The young fellow
was a real Catholic - through and through without a drop of fanaticism.
He was as pious as he was a normal young man. Upon his return to
Australia he was planning to enter the Seminary. As he concluded
his European pilgrimage, he had become sure of his vocation.
After his return and entrance into the Seminary, in one of the
pouring-his-heart-out letters to miguel, he was complaining about the
other Seminarians - their lack of faith, disorderly conduct and lack of
seriousness about becoming priests, etc., etc. He was ready to leave
the Seminary, for he had come face to face with the cesspool that Mary
spoke about at La Salette (6)
Rosa Mystica (7)
and other apparition sites - Akita (8), for example.
It was very easy for miguel to show to him that departing the Seminary
was not the answer; miguel asked him: "If
you leave, who will give those totally disoriented seminarians the
correct example?" Because miguel knew where this young
man's heart was - somewhere between the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the
Immaculate Heart of Mary - no further argument was needed. Of course,
he stayed and soon became a bright light in the Diocese.
But even before then, in the late eighties, in a Houston (Texas)
Seminary the soon-to-be priests already referred to us - Adorers of the
Eucharist - as "cookie worshipers".
It is obvious that some individuals commandeered the results of the
Council to suit their less-than-holy agendas. The chaff they planted
was spreading like weed does and suffocating the wheat - the impeccable
Catholic Faith.
Now, let us rewind to the early
post Second Council Church. Any priest or religious worth their salt (9) who may have
thought that after the Council the Faith was in danger, would have had
a renewed incentive to remain at the service of God by upholding and
defending the Faith. Quitting should have been the last thing in
his/her mind. However, those who just were in the priesthood and
religious orders for the perks, perks that they would no longer enjoy -
like their demigod status basking on popular adulation - had no reason
to stay.
Therefore, they left not because the Council had ruined the Faith but
because the Council was about to ruin their privileged, and in some
cases perverted, life styles.
Therefore, we now ask the second question:
Are
we to grieve the departing of those who did not care enough to uphold
the Faith assuming that it was in danger?
Good riddance! we say.
The real problem arose when those who were of their same ilk, but had
attained the level of Bishop or Cardinal, stayed on - their perks were
too good to give up. These "holy" members of the Hierarchy looked for
any real or imagined crack in the Council pronouncements, seeking an
excuse to "let down their hair" and just have a jolly good time. (10) Logically, the
vocations dropped. Any young man or woman who had the spirit of the
above mentioned Australian fellow, without the proper counseling, would
have abandoned their plans once they were faced with the "new and
improved" Sodom and Gomorrah.
miguel could write a book about what he encountered in church circles
in the six years before God Personally called him to leave all and
follow Him. Nonetheless, miguel lives, upholds and defends the
Faith in spite of
what he found within in the early part of his journey – a journey
which, as of March 2017, will have spanned twenty-six years.
Tragically, theocratic cults (such as Opus Dei and the Legionaries of
Christ (11))
started springing up during the last century within the Body of the
Church. With their apparently pious disciplinary tactics, these cults
have attracted many new vocations. Unfortunately, by the time the
recruits realize what has happened to them, it is usually too late to
escape.
The Church has lost many worthy new vocations because they have fallen
for “Catholic” cults or have been rejected by the scandalous behavior
of far too many members of the Hierarchy.
This brings us to the already mentioned words of H.H. Paul VI: The smoke of satan has entered the Church.
