Exorcism
and the Holy Scriptures

INTRODUCTION
In the physical as well as in the spiritual worlds, knowing the enemy
is always advantageous. If you are considering praying in earnest to
receive Heavenly protection against the snares of the evil one, we
encourage you to first acquaint yourself with what the Holy Scriptures
say about evil, possessions, exorcisms, etc.
There are Ten Parts to this Series. Using our Search

Once you know The Enemy better, your prayer accessing the Power of God
will be far more effective for your protection, and that of your loved
ones, against the snares of the evil one.
PART 3 [New Testament]
Mark 3:22-27
And the scribes who came down from
Jerusalem said, "He is possessed by
Be-elzebul, and by the prince of demons he casts out the demons."
And he called them to him, and said to them in parables, "How can Satan
cast out Satan? If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom
cannot stand. And if a house is divided against itself, that house
will not be able to stand. And if Satan has risen up against himself
and is divided, he cannot stand, but is coming to an end. But no one
can enter a strong man's house and plunder his goods, unless he first
binds the strong man; then indeed he may plunder his house."
Luke 11:17-23
But he, knowing their thoughts, said to
them, "Every
kingdom divided against itself is laid waste, and a divided household
falls. And if Satan also is divided against himself, how will his
kingdom stand? For you say that I cast out demons by Be-elzebul. And
if I cast out demons by Be-elzebul, by whom do your sons cast them out?
Therefore they shall be your judges. But if it is by the finger of
God that I cast out demons, then the kingdom of God has come upon you.
When a strong man, fully armed, guards his own palace, his goods are
in peace; but when one stronger than he assails him and overcomes
him, he takes away his armor in which he trusted, and divides his
spoil. He who is not with me is against me, and he who does not
gather with me scatters."
Matthew 15:21-28
And Jesus went away from there and
withdrew to the
district of Tyre and Sidon. And behold, a Canaanite woman from that
region came out and cried, "Have
mercy on me, O Lord, Son of David; my
daughter is severely possessed by a demon." But he did not
answer
her a word. And his disciples came and begged him, saying, "Send her
away, for she is crying after us." He answered, "I was sent only to
the lost sheep of the house of Israel." But she came and knelt
before him, saying, "Lord, help me."
And he answered, "It is not
fair to take the children's bread and throw it to the dogs." She
said, "Yes, Lord, yet even the dogs
eat the crumbs that fall from their
masters' table." Then Jesus answered her, "O woman, great is your
faith! Be it done for you as you desire." And her daughter was
healed
instantly.
Mark 7:24-30
And from there he arose and went away
to the region of Tyre
and Sidon. And he entered a house, and would not have any one know it;
yet he could not be hid. But immediately a woman, whose little
daughter was possessed by an unclean spirit, heard of him, and came and
fell down at his feet. Now the woman was a Greek, a Syrophoenician
by birth. And she begged him to cast the demon out of her daughter. And
he said to her, "Let the children
first be fed, for it is not right
to take the children's bread and throw it to the dogs." But she
answered him, "Yes, Lord; yet even
the dogs under the table eat the
children's crumbs." And he said to her, "For this saying you may go
your way; the demon has left your daughter." And she went home,
and
found the child lying in bed, and the demon gone.
Let us pray...
Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us
in the day of battle, be our safeguard against the wickedness and
snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray, and do thou,
Prince of the Heavenly Hosts, by the Power of God, thrust into Hell
satan and all the evil spirits who prowl through the world seeking the
ruin of souls. AMEN!
