Dismantling
the allegations that
elements of the Catholic
Faith were "invented"
before the Birth of Christ
PURPOSE
The purpose of this brief document is to explain why, to many students
of Pre-Historic, Ancient, Antique, Modern and Contemporary faiths, it appears
that the Catholic Faith is just a conglomerate of old myths and
beliefs cobbled together by Rome. That is – "A made up religion".
As we have shown before (1), appearances can
be very deceiving. It is not that the professionals are
manufacturing the data that they use to prove their (incorrect) point.
It is a case of misinterpretation of the data gathered.
Through the Grace of God, we are able to show how the data used to
prove that the Catholic Faith is "A made up religion" is real but
has been misinterpreted, yielding an absolutely false conclusion.
INTRODUCTION
and DETAILS
If we were to list and discuss the cases which are used "prove" that
the Catholic Faith is just a conglomerate of old myths and beliefs, we
could literally write a book. That is neither our purpose nor our
intent. Instead we will simply highlight a few glaring situations which
will serve as generic examples.
1. The Virgin Mary is claimed to be the Catholic version of the many
goddesses of the pagan world.
The number of "Mother Goddesses" throughout history is staggering —some
better known than others— but they were always showing up
throughout history. There was a "heavenly" woman with whom mortal men
could engage in a mother-child interaction. The difference here is that
the local mother-goddess was just that, a goddess for them – and,
logically, very powerful.
2. The Mother and Child images are claimed to be no more than a
recycling of the Egyptian mother and child version: The Goddess Isis
with Osiris on her lap, among others.
3. The death and resurrection of Jesus is the recycling of Osiris being
returned to life after having been killed by Set. (2)
4. The Christian Divine Trinity is claimed to be nothing more than a
recreation of the Egyptian Trinity: Isis, Osiris and Horus.
The most commonly encountered family
relationship describes Horus as the son of Isis and Osiris . (2)(3)
The earliest recorded form is Horus
the Falcon who was the patron deity of Nekhen in Upper Egypt and who is
the first known national god, specifically related to the king
who in time came to be regarded as a manifestation of Horus in life
and Osiris in death.
At this point it is appropriate to say that the Horus-Isis-Osiris
triangle is very flexible depending on which expert is reporting on it.
That is – if the resurrection of Jesus is to be debunked, then "Jesus
is the recycling of Osiris being returned to life after having been
killed by Set".
If they need a feminine god, then the Trinity is composed by Isis,
Osiris and Horus. Keep in mind that Isis is the mother of Osiris... but
wait, wasn't Horus the son of Isis and Osiris? Not to worry, if genders
of the divinities need to be changed to discredit the Catholic Faith –
not a problem! We pray that the reader gets the idea of how that game
is played.
5. The many official Saints of the Catholic Faith are
considered to be no more that the Catholic version of the pagan Mt.
Olympus with its main God, Zeus, and lesser gods, who are in charge of
the different aspects of the domain of the mortals. Just like Saints
have functions in the domain of mortals as Patron Saints.
6. The latest twist in this saga is now the news about removal of the
wife of God from the Holy Scriptures (4) –
implying that in the proverbial old days God has a wife just as ancient
religions believed.
and on and on...
The TRUTH
We have already explained about the relationship between Time and
Eternity (5) and about the Continuum (6)
which connects them but, recapping in a nutshell: Eternity is
where all events which occurred in Time have been recorded and
exist in a Present format – no Past (because all has been done) and no
Future (because all has been completed).
Now, as we have repeated many times:
The Catholic Faith is the one Faith
which has the greatest concentration of Divinely Revealed Truths. By no
means it has them all since God is the only Plenitude of Truth,
but no other Faith has as many Truths in its Spiritual Treasury as the
Catholic Faith. Be it the reality of the Seven Sacraments; be it the
practice of Indulgences; be it the reality of Purgatory; be it the
truth about the Immaculate Conception and Assumption of Mary, the
Mother of Jesus Christ, True God and True Man; etc.
All of those Truths exist in Eternity and have since the beginning of
the Time frame of reference. Once God assembled His cut of the
Elect (7), the Holy Spirit of God has been
infusing into the human soul those Truths. Slowly humans began to
"feel" them and started practicing them even in the most elemental way.
Religion was born.
Logically, different groups of humans in different parts of the world (8)
would express what they "felt" in different ways, yet one can see
common threads appearing in all religions – including in the ones which
we lump under the classification of: polytheism.
CONCLUSION
Elementary, dear Watson... once, of course, God reveals it.
Don't we have reliable records of Mary appearing to help Her children
as early as 911 AD (9) and probably much before
than that? Are we Catholics "more children of Mary" than all who were
Created in the Image of God? Of course not!
Meet Mary in all those goddesses that have appeared to console and help
Her children since prehistory!
Without doubt there may be a goddess or two in that long list who were
evil by Christian Standards but then again, don't we also know that
satan can, and has, manifested itself as (an evil version of) Mary?
Nothing new under the Sun!
Now, having dealt with the identity of all those "goddesses"...
All those threads of the old religions —pagan and otherwise— that we
see in Christianity do not mean that Christianity was composed
from a combination of old religions – far from it! What it means that
we
finally got it as right as it is humanly possible.
Stand back and take a look at the rock upon which Christianity was
founded (10) —Jesus Christ— the Word of
God made Flesh.
Then ask yourself – What was Jesus doing amongst mankind? It was God
asking (remember, Jesus is the Word of God) His Elect, using
today's popular vernacular:
Exactly what part of the information
that We have been infusing into
your soul, and that prophets have been announcing in Our Name, since
you were Created, don't you understand?
Brethren – It Is That Simple!
So simple that the "wise and prudent" leaders of Christianity could not
get it. Does the following ring the proverbial bell for you?
In that same hour, he rejoiced in
the Holy Ghost, and said: I
confess to thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast
hidden these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them
to little ones. Yea, Father, for so it hath seemed good in thy sight.
[Luke 10:21]
Who wants to be "wise and prudent"? Miguel de Portugal (M de P) just
wants to be a "gofer" for God, and the less of the M de P self there
is, the better!
Access to Wisdom and Truth can only be found on the lap of the Most
Holy Trinity and only the "little ones" can fit on that lap.
EPILOGUE
The choice —as always— is yours!
But remember – you cannot be of Caesar and of God at the same time. Nor
can you claim the wages of sin and also expect the retirement pension
of Heaven. It just does not work that way.
