Points to Ponder About

September 2005

Previous Month Next Month Archive

The purpose of Points to Ponder About was to stimulate thinking that would draw the disoriented Faithful back to God and away from the hypocritical duplicity of some religious institutions which are destroying the little faith left on earth. (For a more detailed explanation, see Points to Ponder About - Purpose). What used to be posted in this section has been integrated in For Your Information and Reference.

Note: This 'Point to Ponder About' section was prepared in the years 2005-2009. Some linked documents external to this domain may have been removed from the Net, or moved to different locations, since then.

Do you wonder... why the prayer of the Angelus, on the third invocation reads: "The Word was made flesh and dwelt amongst us"?

Dwelt?! It should be: "The Word was made flesh and dwells amongst us". Jesus, in His Eucharistic manifestation, DWELLS amongst us today just as He did 2000 years ago. That fact is central to the Catholic Faith and not those other stories to build up man or an institution at the expense of Jesus Christ. We repeat again and again - Who is like unto God?

Do you wonder... why would God allow Hurricane Rita right on the heels of Hurricane Katrina? Perhaps this imaginary conversation between God and one of the Agents of the Apocalypse may answer that question. [Tone of the conversation wit God is similar to those found in the movies "Oh God!" and "Bruce Almighty"]

G = God speaking
AoA = Agent of the Apocalypse speaking

G: Well, Agent of the Apocalypse, what do you think We should do with Rita? Remember, St. Rita is the patroness of the Hopeless Cases and
we should be able to use that "connection" to get people, in apparently hopeless situations, to pray. (1)

AoA: Lord, You know what is Right and Perfect, but since You have asked, I will think, pray and then speak.....

AoA: I see three options that You have, although, of course, You may have many more that I am not able to discern yet, for You are Infinite and I am not. (2)

(a) Guide the storm right into the same area Katrina destroyed to see if they catch on, since they obviously have not - considering that they are giving priority to the opening of Strip Joints in the French Quarters while the corpses were still littering the area streets. Destruction and disruption would be minimal since most that could be destroyed has been destroyed or flooded out already. The area is essentially uninhabited since most are already still out and there will not be the hassle of an evacuation; or

(b) Guide the storm to the Houston-Galveston metroplex and "work it over" like You did in the New Orleans - Mississippi area. This strike, after the Katrina punch, will essentially fulfill part of the Step No. 1 (2a) for the U.S. without You having to allow the abuse of nuclear weapons. Thus keeping with the theme of a Green Apocalypse, where suffering (for the good people of the US) will be minimized while Prophecy is fulfilled and Justice dispensed.

(c) Guide the storm against empty coastal area after making the citizens of major coastal cities "walk on their knees" for a while "while sweating blood" with fear thus inspiring the spirit of repentance in them.

G: OK - but you are giving Me options that I know, but, what do you think I should do?

AoA: Well Lord - no wonder You are God - you don't miss a trick... certainly not this poor Agent of the Apocalypse trying to weasel out of an answer.
OK, let me see if I can make any sense...

Should You allow option (a), they will still not catch on. The damage would be less and, if with greater damage and suffering, all they think about is getting Sodom and Gomorra going again first and foremost, a second pass will not do anything else but bring more hardship upon the poor and abandoned.

Should You allow option (c), on a second thought, the level of blindness and denial (3) is so great that the few who would walk on their knees would be those who fell down drunk during the Hurricane Parties and not because they are praying. Thus, that storm energy that you will spend will yield few new conversions and many severe hang overs.

G: Must admit - you are not far from the truth. But what about option (b)? Would not that be terrible? You know well the area. You know that is packed with refineries and petrochemical complexes and the population is about 3 million. You know that Houston is also major port and business center.

AoA: Frankly, Lord, You have taught me much and some of those teachings help me to "see beyond the obvious", to "look at the whole picture" and to understand what Your "Mercy In Action" (4) is all about. Therefore, I must admit that option (b) above seems to be the best, unless, of course, this is just a teaser to make people think of, and pray to St. Rita - the patroness of the impossible - and You have something else up You Holy Sleeve to answer my prayer for a Green Apocalypse (5).

Therefore, I would choose option (b) BUT, as always, totally deferring to Your Will by stating: Should it be in accordance to Your Most Holy and Adorable Will... and try to hit River Oaks, Memorial and Sugarland harder while this time go real easy on the poor of the area. OK?

G: Amen!

AoA: Sir, if I may make one final statement....

G: By all means, do!

AoA: Am I glad that I am not God and that "The Buck Stops THERE!"

Let us pray...

Do you ever wonder... what Jesus meant when He said: "For if men use the green wood like this, what will happen when it is dry?" [Luke 26:31]

He meant that: If He - in a living human body (green wood) - after giving proof after proof of His Divinity was treated the way He was by the Shepherds of that time, how would the future Shepherds, who would be blinded by physical riches beyond their wildest dreams, treat His Mystical Body after His physical death (dry wood)?

Do you ever wonder... why those who vehemently attack the Marian Apparitions in Garabandal and Medjugorje never mention the fully approved by the Roman Catholic Church Marian Manifestations in Akita, Japan?

The message that Mary transmitted in Akita - which is part of the public domain now - makes any public revelation about Garabandal and Medjugorje pale.

For a better understanding of a "fully approved" by the Roman Catholic Church supernatural event, Click Here.

This "oversight" can only be understood through what we have explained in the September 8 posting (see below).

Do you ever wonder... why History repeats itself?

History repeats itself because man is incapable of learning unless God has been fully integrated into his life.

This is why what Konrad Adenauer, German Chancellor (1876-1967), was wrong when he said: "The good Lord sets definite limits on man's wisdom but sets no limits on his stupidity – and that's just not fair."

It is not that God is unfair - it is that man, without God, cannot be anything else but stupid, thus continues to repeat the same mistakes millennia after millennia.

The "God" component in man is "the ingredient" that allows man to be the Crown Jewel of Creation as God intended him to be, thus, man will cease being stupid and avoid repeating mistakes. Mistakes which God allowed to be made so that lessons, that could not be learned otherwise, be learned for his benefit.

When the God "component" is missing, man is incomplete and drops to the bottom of the zoological scale as he has repeatedly proven for over 6,000 years. What other member of the zoological scale (mis) behaves as man has for those years? None!

Why, pray tell, has Mary been visiting Her children repeatedly and insistently since the beginning of the 19th Century? To help us integrate God in our lives!

It is really that simple!

Do you wonder what is the real meaning of:

"...then let them that are in Judaea flee unto the mountains: let him that is on the housetop not go down to take out things that are in his house: and let him that is in the field not return back to take his cloak."

The above quotation is from Matthew 24: 15-21 which appear on our most recent document An Announcement?

Obviously is not a call to immediate action in the literal form. He is not telling them, then, and us, today, to drop everything and "head for the hills". Basically what He is telling us is that:

(1) The events are near enough to remain ready - physically and spiritually; just as the children of Israel were on the night of Passover [Exodus 12: 1-13];
(2) We must rearrange our priorities as they should be - attentive to the prompting of the Holy Spirit and not to the physical things you posses; and
(3) Once you are on the move, do not turn back for anything - this brings to mind the wife of Lot who turned into a pillar of salt. [Exodus 19: 26]

God is as consistent with His instructions as we are with our disobedience. By clarifying this for you we are obeying Him - how do you respond to it, is completely out of our hands because it is between you and God.

Do you wonder why the mightiest financial and military empire of the whole world cannot effectively come to the rescue of the citizens of a devastated city - which, in Apocalyptic terms, is "just peanuts"? Could it be that when "the chips are down" it all boils down to a gallery of "smoke and mirrors"?
