Points to Ponder About
July 2009
The purpose of
Points to Ponder About was to
stimulate thinking that would draw the disoriented Faithful back to God and away from the
hypocritical duplicity of some religious institutions which are destroying the little faith left
on earth. (For a more detailed explanation, see Points to
Ponder About - Purpose). What used to be posted in this section has been integrated in

The attempt to discredit the mgr.org domain name of The M+G+R
Foundation
Do you ever wonder... to what extent some will go to discredit the main "internet face" of The M+G+R Foundation, i.e. the mgr.org Domain?
Wonder no more...
We have been informed that:
• An on-line casino - Superior Casino - with a listed home in Great Britain...
• Uses a credit card paying front, (2) which is listed in Dubai...
• Which shows on the credit card bill as charged to WWW.M-G-R.ORG...
• An organization that claims as its business mail sales of pet leashes and coats...
• With its Domain being hosted by a hosting company in Dallas, Texas
If it is just a coincidence it must be one of those "one in a million" events - even without considering the fact that The M+G+R Foundation was born in Houston, Texas - just a stone's throw away from Dallas, Texas, and that the ".ORG" indicator is not to be used in for-profit commercial purposes.
We will see how God wishes to handle this obvious smear to the mgr.org name.

Man was not created to serve the Religious Institutions
Do you ever wonder..... what is the key meaning, hidden-in-plain-view, in the following statements made by Jesus?
The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath. [Mark
2:27]
a statement which is preceded by:
Have you never read what David did when he had need, and was hungry himself, and they that were
with him? How he went into the house of God, under Abiathar the high priest, and did eat the
loaves of proposition, which was not lawful to eat but for the priests, and gave to them who were
with him? [Mark 2:25-26]
Said crystal clear statements instruct the Faithful that a Religious Institution is set up to serve man by helping (nor forcing him!) in his journey to God and that, in very special circumstances, man-made rules established by said Religious Institutions can be circumvented - so long as they do not violate Divine Law.... . In addition, He reminds us that man was not created to serve the Religious Institutions. Man was Created to serve God above all, and no man - regardless of claims made - may ever take the place of God. That egocentric attitude is precisely what precipitated the fall of Lucifer.
It does not matter what the Vatican or the Ecumenical Patriarchate in Constantinople (1) or, for that, matter, the Southern Baptist Conference or any other Religious Institution may claim. The clear and concise Word of God still rules above all.
Just as many angels fell because they believed Lucifer's theosophy, many humans will fall for having placed men or institutions above God, His Word and His Law. Surprised? One should not be for He also said:
How narrow is the gate, and strait is the way that leadeth to life: and few there are that find
it! [Matthew 7:14]

Lessons from the Presentation of Jesus in the Temple
Do you wonder..... what messages, beyond the reporting of the event, are within the depths of the story about the Presentation of Jesus in the Temple?
In Luke 2 we read:
22 And after the days of her purification, according to the law of Moses, were accomplished,
they carried him to Jerusalem, to present him to the Lord... 25 And behold there was a man in
Jerusalem named Simeon, and this man was just and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel;
and the Holy Ghost was in him.
26 And he had received an answer from the Holy Ghost, that he should not see death, before he had seen the Christ of the Lord. 27 And he came by the Spirit into the temple.... 28 He also took him into his arms, and blessed God, and said: 29 Now thou dost dismiss thy servant, O Lord, according to thy word in peace; 30 Because my eyes have seen thy salvation,
[...] 36 And there was one Anna, a prophetess, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Aser... 37 And she was a widow until fourscore and four years; who departed not from the temple, by fastings and prayers serving night and day. 38 Now she, at the same hour, coming in, confessed to the Lord; and spoke of him to all that looked for the redemption of Israel.

Here are the main four which jump right out....
One: No priest in the temple recognized the Messiah.
Two: Only a man and a woman - equally in this case - illuminated by the Holy Spirit of God
recognized the Messiah
Three: Obviously the Holy Spirit of God was working amongst pious and holy individuals
before the Pentecost.
Four: Even though a woman - serving at the Temple - was so exalted as to recognize the
Messiah and to prophesy, she was not a priestess since the priesthood is strictly a man's
function, just like motherhood is a gift reserved only for the Crown of Creation - the female of
the humans created in the Image of God. (1)

[Feast of Mary's Humility]
If the Mother of Jesus Christ request that we pray the Rosary, it must be so
important
Do you wonder..... if the Mother of Jesus Christ (1) - acknowledged by all Christians to be God (2) - has repeatedly requested that we pray the Rosary on a regular basis, most Christians seldom do? Even among those who invoke Mary's Holy Name and recite, from memory, Her many Apparitions "at the drop of a hat"?
Frankly, we do not... unless, of course, it is a measure of the level of control satan has on the particular individual.
A well prayed Rosary (3) takes only thirty minutes and, we must ask again,.... With as many thirty minute blocks of time that Christian shamelessly waste in absolutely trivial and worthless endeavors (4), why couldn't they dedicate thirty minutes a day to what most likely will be the best spent time of their lives?
(4) The man who became m de P
knew that well - He "wrote the book" about shamelessly wasting time in absolutely trivial and
worthless endeavors, but at least he did not claim to be a real Christian nor a bleeding heart
Marian devotee.

The origin of the name "Opus Dei"
The Benedictine connection
The Benedictine connection
Do you wonder.... where from Jose María Escrivá drew the "Opus Dei" name?
It seems that the first one to use it in such context was St. Benedict. In an interview (1) with the Archabbot of Monte Cassino, Benedictine Father Pietro Vittorelli, he stated:
Because the Benedictines treat the Lord as Lord. There is a place of honor given to the "opus
Dei," as St. Benedict called it in his rule, the work of God, the first work of God is prayer.
Benedictine monks have always given much attention to this primary aspect of their lives, which
feeds everything else.... ....as St. Benedict says in the rule, that unceasing prayer of the heart
that is so dear especially in the Eastern tradition and which St. Benedict proposed to his monks
in the sixth century.
to which the interviewer, Father Rosica, responded:
Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger is not a stranger to your life or to your monastery because he has a
special place in his life for the Benedictine rule. Tell me about your friendship with Cardinal
Ratzinger (now Benedict XVI).
with the Archabbot responding thus:
I had the honor of assisting him during one of his longer visits to the monastery, when he
stayed for about eight days while writing one of his books. That time he stayed quite awhile and I
was able to be close to him for an extended period of time.
It is interesting to see that God does not stop providing new "dots" to add, as it were for confirmation, to the image already composed with other "dots" - all for the benefit of those who listen to what we have to say in His Name.

The "blame it all on the Second Vatican Council" syndrome
Do you wonder.... how can the "blame it all on the Second Vatican Council" syndrome (1) be spun to make of the Second Vatican Council and the Popes behind it the greatest thing ever happened to the world in the last two hundred years?
Whenever the Vatican needs to "slip one by" hoping that no one notices it. (2)

Benedict XVI's encyclical calling for a new world body to govern
globalization
Do you wonder .... how the Vatican is going to muscle its way in the race (with the two other agents (1)) to establish a New International Government?
Wonder no more.... The "coming out" will be via Benedict XVI's forthcoming encyclical calling for a new world body to govern globalization. Caritas in Veritate ("Love in Truth"), as the new document is entitled, will bear the symbolic date of 29 June in memory of the Feast of Sts Peter and Paul. (2)

The influenza A (H1N1) (aka "Swine Flu") and the Mark of the Beast
Do you wonder .... what is the "second half of the story" that we announced in this column on June 29th (see below) regarding the persistent effort by public authorities to drum into the general population's psyche a latent panic about the influenza A(H1N1) (aka "swine flu")?
Do not wonder any more.... CLICK HERE for a "second half" scenario of the story.
