Old Testament Prophecies

Key New Testament Prophecies

PURPOSE
The primary purpose of this
document is to confirm to
believers
and unbelievers
alike exactly what will take place soon -
which - after a few "rough spots", will be essentially a Paradise-like
state.
INTRODUCTION and BACKGROUND
As we pointed out in an earlier
document
(1):
The
Prophet Isaiah foretold that
the lion and
the lamb
would lie down together and the suckling child shall play on the hole
of the adder. [Isaiah
11:6-7]
It is patently clear that
Isaiah, as well as Malachi [Malachi
3:1-6] ,
were speaking of a
time after Jesus
Christ's Second
Coming but before the
End of Time.
Isaiah
and Malachi were specifically speaking of a time after the
establishment of the Kingdom of the Messiah, Jesus Christ,
amongst men
in Time, an event that
takes place after the End of These Times. They were not
speaking about
Eternity.
[Remember: "The End of These
Times" IS NOT the same as "The End of Time".]
Scrolling all the
way forward to the Book of Revelations - John the Evangelist stated:
1 And I
saw a new heaven
and a new earth. For the first heaven and the first earth was gone,
and
the sea is now no more.
2 And I John saw the holy city, the new
Jerusalem, coming down
out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
3 And I heard a great voice from the
throne, saying: Behold the
tabernacle of God with men, and he will dwell with them. And
they shall
be his people; and God
himself with them shall be their God.
4 And God shall wipe away all tears from
their eyes: and death
shall be no more, nor mourning, nor crying, nor sorrow shall be any
more, for the former things
are passed away.
5 And he that sat on the throne, said:
Behold, I make all things new.
[Rev. 21]
The above quotation from St. John's Revelations usually is interpreted
as if
he were
talking about a period "beyond Time", i.e., in Eternity. Such
assumption is also
applied to Isaiah's and Malachi's prophecies.... yet, none of them are; they
pertain to the Time frame of reference and not Eternity (2).
DETAILS
Let us scroll back to Isaiah again - this time to Chapter 65 - and see
what he has to say in the Name of God....
13 Therefore
thus
saith the Lord God: Behold my
servants
shall eat, and you shall be hungry: behold my servants shall drink,
and
you shall be thirsty.
14 Behold my servants shall rejoice, and you shall be
confounded: behold my servants shall praise for joyfulness of heart,
and you shall cry for sorrow of heart, and shall howl for grief of
spirit.
15 And you shall leave your name for an execration to my elect:
and the Lord God shall slay thee, and call his servants by another
name.
16 In which he that
is blessed upon the earth, shall be blessed
in God, amen: and he that
sweareth in the earth, shall swear by God,
amen: because the former distresses are forgotten, and because they are
hid from my eyes.
17 For behold I create new
heavens, and a new earth: and the
former things shall not be in remembrance, and they shall not
come upon
the heart.
18 But you shall be glad and rejoice for ever in these things,
which I create: for behold I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and the
people thereof joy.
19 And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in my people, and
the voice of weeping shall no more be heard in her, nor the voice of
crying.
20 There shall no more be an infant of days there, nor an old
man that shall not fill up his days: for the child shall die a hundred
years old, and the sinner being a hundred years old shall be
accursed.
21 And they shall build houses,
and inhabit
them; and they shall
plant vineyards, and eat
the fruits of them.
22 They shall not build, and another
inhabit; they shall not
plant, and another eat: for
as the days of a tree, so shall be the days
of my people, and the works of their hands shall be of long
continuance.
23 My
elect shall not labour in vain, nor
bring forth in
trouble; for they are the seed of the blessed of the Lord, and their
posterity with them.
24 And it shall come to pass, that before
they call, I will hear; as they are yet speaking, I will hear.
25 The
wolf and the lamb shall feed
together; the lion and the
ox shall eat straw; and dust shall be the serpent's food: they shall
not hurt nor kill in all my holy mountain, saith the Lord.
[Isaiah 65]
A comparison of the above prophecy with
that of St. John in Revelations Chapter 21 will clearly show that God
is
talking about
here on Earth, in the
Time frame of reference,
not in Eternity.
Perhaps someone will ask:
What about
the statement in Revelations that "...
the sea is now no
more." After all, there is no sea in Eternity and Earth
(humanity) could not
possibly function without water.
Let us now scroll all the way back to
Genesis Chapter 1 where we read:
9 God also said: Let the waters that are
under the heaven, be
gathered together into one place: and let the dry land appear. And it
was so done.
10 And God called the dry land, Earth; and
the gathering together of the waters,
he called Seas. And
God saw that
it was good.
"Water
s" and "Sea
S" is what we read -
in plural
terms and not singular. Therefore "the sea is no more" must refer to
some particular body of water - the Sea of Galilee?, the Mediterranean
Sea?, the Black Sea?, etc. - and not about all the oceans of the world
without which human life, as we know it, could not be sustained in Time.
Now - let us place the statement made by God through Isaiah in
perspective. What was God saying
before Isaiah 65:13 ?
11 And you,
that
have forsaken the Lord, that have forgotten my
holy mount, that set a table for fortune, and offer libations upon it,
12 I will number you in the sword, and you shall all fall by
slaughter: because I called
and you did not answer: I spoke, and you
did not hear: (*) and
you did evil in my eyes, and you have chosen
the
things that displease me. [Isaiah
65]
(*)
The
typical "Blind" and "Deaf" we often refer to.
He was describing the Tribulation which
will come to an end when:
1 And I saw an angel coming down from
heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit, and a great chain in his
hand.
2 And he laid hold on the dragon the old
serpent, which is the devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand
years.
3 And he cast him into the bottomless pit,
and shut him up, and
set a seal upon him, that he
should no more seduce the nations, till
the thousand years be finished. [Rev. 20]
We are fully familiar with the
Vatican's position about the 1,000 year Reign of Christ (3) - as familiar as we are
with their repeated betrayal
(4) of the One
Who established them for the benefit
of mankind and not exclusively for their own benefit. As we have
clearly shown, the
"Excommunicators par
excellence" have themselves been Excommunicated by Jesus Christ Himself
(5) and their
directives ceased
to have any relevance since somewhere between 1994 and 1995. (6)
CONCLUSION
Rejoice, brethren (7),
Paradise is indeed at
hand. There will be a "few very rough spots" before we get there but it
will
certainly be worth it. Do not let the upcoming adversity dampen your
hopeful spirit.
Yes, yes - we know - doomsday soothsayers have been claiming that for
centuries but, we ask: On whose
authority?
Brethren - from a purely scientific and truly objective points
of
view - if God does not intervene soon (8) mankind will
annihilate itself in less
than twenty years... so, this time, on God's
authority, miguel de Portugal tells you - this time Paradise is truly
around the corner.
As
for those who are on denial (9)
and persist on being "Deaf" and "Blind", this
is
what Jesus had to say:
And he
said also to the people, When ye
see a cloud rise out of the west, straightway ye say, There cometh a
shower; and so it is. And when ye see the south wind blow,
ye say, There will be heat; and it cometh to pass. Ye
hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky and of the earth; but
how is it that ye do not discern this time? Yea, and why even of
yourselves judge ye not what is right? [Luke
12:54-57]
To which we add: We truly regret it but
their free will must be respected and we will not persist in helping
them "See" and "Hear" .... lest
at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven
them. [Mark 4:12]
