The Archbishop of Moscow Presided Over the Anniversary Pilgrimage
143 organized groups of pilgrims were registered with the Pilgrim Services Office as participants of the Rosary and Mass for the October 13th Anniversary Pilgrimage.
The breakdown of groups by country follows:
The International Mass was officiated by 105 priests and 15 Bishops - including the presiding Archbishop. 85,000 Pilgrims participated.
3,051 Sacraments of Reconciliation were administered.
miguel de Portugal comments: On the October 12th Portuguese news it was reported (and viewed on camera) that the huge esplanade before the Fatima Basilica and the Chapel of the Apparitions was almost empty. That "void" would have been strange even for a regular weekday in October – and October 12 was a special day: the Feast of Our Lady of the Pillar (much venerated in Spain), and the day before the traditional Pilgrimage day of October 13. The almost-deserted plaza was an eerie sight, especially for anyone somewhat familiar with Fatima.
The newscaster also reported on the walking Pilgrimages to Fatima, which are traditionally very, very popular in Portugal. They were at an all-time low. Additionally, the usual Pilgrim Support groups along the way were nowhere to be found by most of the few pilgrims who were walking to Fatima.
On the 13th, we hoped to see news about Fatima in the regular Portuguese TV newscasts, as has been customary. If it was mentioned, it must have been in passing and at high speed, since we missed it.
We then went to the official Sanctuary of Fatima Portal hoping to find out what happened. It was at the official Fatima Portal where we obtained the sad statistics reported above. There was not even one Cardinal amongst the celebrants, nor were there the 150,000 to 350,000 pilgrims that should have been present on a day like October 13th!
The numbers speak for themselves, even for those who have never been in Fatima. This bleak picture is made even worse when one considers the gravity of the economic crisis Portugal is experiencing right now. Traditionally, in a situation like this, the number of Pilgrims actually increases as they seek help and consolation from our Beloved Mother and Our Lord.
And we thought things were really bad in the year 2004 (2).

The foiled alleged terrorist plot to assassinate the Saudi Arabian ambassador to the US in Washington, DC - in my opinion - has the "scent of Opus Dei" all over it. (1)
That US intelligence community informants were operating within the Mexican drug gang, which was hired to perform the assassination, serves to (in my view) reinforce this.
Given the strong 'interest' of both China and Russia in Iran, plus the much openly speculated (by media pundits) possible military reprisal of the US upon Iran, this seems to be another example of 'intentionally letting the pot boil over'.
Bearing this in mind...... IF the US does make a military reprisal upon Iran, the scene depicted in this movie trailer (2) may be a prophetic one.

The final insult to the last Merovingian king Childeric III was having his head publicly shorn and being sent off to a monastery to live out his days. By this act the Pope established that he was a king maker with temporal power.
In fact, the Pope said that the Carolingian dynasty should rule forever, and that anyone who disapproved was to be excommunicated. In return, Pepin gave the papacy land in Italy which would become the Papal States.
Despite the fact that Pope Pius IX lost the Papal States in the Nineteenth Century, Pope Pius XI was given the Vatican by Mussolini in 1929 under the Lateran Treaty. Thus, popes have had some sort of temporal power since 752 AD. 2012 will be the 1260th year of temporal papal power.
It is constructive to note that in proclaiming Pepin as King of the Franks, Pepin and Pope Zachary were breaking the Salic Law of the Franks and perpetrating a Big Lie.
And who is the father of lies?
If this could be done, why didn't a future pope give Henry VIII a divorce? By 2012 we will have had the present resident on the papal throne for 7 years.

volcano erupted over a mile below the ocean's surface adjacent to the Spanish Canary Island of El

The island, El Hierro, was issued a volcanic eruption alert on Sunday after approximately 10,000 tremors were felt over the past three months, The Associated Press reported. The alert also came after a 4.3 earthquake on Saturday, The AP reported.
Scientists were not sure whether the emissions were lava or gas, so they will continue with an analysis, a local official, María del Carmen Morales, told the Spanish daily La Opinión.
The eruption took place about three miles from El Hierro and about 1,500 feet deep, but the effects will not be felt, volcanologist Alicia Garcia of the Higher Council of Scientific Research said, Agence France-Presse reported. news conference on September 29th.... to reveal near-Earth asteroid findings and
implications for future research. The briefing took place in the NASA Headquarters' James E. Webb
Auditorium, located in Washington. (1)
The event was aired live on NASA Television and the agency's website. We asked our collaborator in Puerto Rico, Mrs. RM, to view it and give us her feedback so that we could share it with our readers. Her feedback follows [our underscoring]:

At the beginning they were having transmission problems. It was not possible to hear the
presentation of the first panelist, Lindley Johnson.
Here is what they said between the lines:
1) The population of near-earth asteroids bigger than 1 km in diameter (those capable of producing catastrophic devastation, such as the one that presumably extinguished the dinosaurs) is believed by NEOWISE to be fewer than previously estimated. Now they think that this population is 981 asteroids. The panelist also said that 93% of these are asteroids already found by WISE, meaning that 7% has not been found.
2) Near-earth asteroids of middle-size diameter (100 m - 1 km) are fewer in number than originally estimated. The original estimated count of these asteroids was 36,000. Now it is estimated to be 19,500 asteroids. (This is the amount mentioned by the panelist. The documents in the NASA/WISE page have a different amount). But the majority of these have not yet been discovered. The third panelist mentioned that NEOWISE only has found 25% of the existing asteroids, meaning that the 75% are waiting to be discovered.
One of the questions made by telephone asked for the level of damage that a middle size asteroid could cause. The answer was: Because of the speed they have, a lot of energy would be dissipated in an instant. Therefore, a wide area will be damaged. If the impact is in a metropolitan area, it could devastate the entire area (the example used was Washington DC).
3) The answer to another question was that WISE had found 100 new brown dwarfs (cool stars). Some are close but not hazardous. The panelist admitted that they have a huge amount of data waiting for being processed. WISE is now at hibernation mode. What remains is the processing of the data.
4) 500 asteroids larger than 100 meters are found per year. They admitted that some decades will be needed for the entire population to be discovered.

Thank you for your prayers and the kind words of encouragement, as we lived through another typhoon in the Philippines.
My family and I were not seriously affected by typhoon Pedring, except for a 3-hour brown-out (in the early hours of the typhoon).
We (my family and I) continue to praise and thank God for the continued protection. However, in other (most) areas (especially in the depressed areas), they are seriously affected as reported in the local news.
What is sad, is the fact that we (most people... including me in some extent) are still in denial that we are living the end times.
Anyway, we badly need your continued prayers.

My family and I were not seriously affected by typhoon Pedring, except for a 3-hour brown-out (in the early hours of the typhoon).
We (my family and I) continue to praise and thank God for the continued protection. However, in other (most) areas (especially in the depressed areas), they are seriously affected as reported in the local news.

Regarding your posting and mailing of October 7th about the Three Days of Darkness...
Should I e-mail people this letter, or should I just tell them? I have only fewer than a dozen email addresses, but I could print out pages and give them.
I rarely leave the house now - except for medical reasons- so I do not have many contacts. I don't want to be presumptuous in thinking it matters to God what I do, but I want to be right.

Let us try to.... unravel the "Enochs" that appear in the Holy Scriptures. Between the fact that every Biblical Translator feels entitled to spell Biblical names as they see fit, and that Bible Study in the Catholic Church has yet to become a popular devotion, only God knows Who is Who in the Holy Scriptures!
We have used the English version of the Douay-Rheims Bible, the Dr. Straubinger's New Testament
translation and The Tanakh - the Hebrew Scriptures.
The confusion exists because there are three individuals who have the same or similar names.
1. The "key" Enoch - the one known as "The 7th from Adam" . His lineage is as follows: Adam > Seth > Enosh > Kenan > Mahalalel > Jared > Enoch > Methuselah > Lamech > Noah. (We have utilized the spelling used in the Hebrew Scriptures - we figured that they should know better than St. Jerome.)
It is Enoch who "walked with God" [Gen. 5:24]; he is the one who "God took him" at the end of his life on Earth. Enoch did not die as we know death.
2. Enosh, the son of Seth [Gen. 4:26] is also spelled as Enos.
3. Ruben, the firstborn of Israel, named his son "Enoch" [Gen. 46:9], which has also been spelled as "Hanoch".

miguel de Portugal comments: Why is it so hard to these people to give credit to God? They would rather give credit to anything but to the One Unique Cause for all. That, of course, was a rhetorical question, since we all know why some people think this way. This disordered thinking explains Thayer’s immense popularity in the world (1).

Abraham, of "Father of Faith" fame is more the "Father of Obedience", and that his act of total obedience to God [Gen. 22] is what opened the doors so that God would send His Only Son, thousands of years later, and allow Jesus Christ to give us an opportunity to return to the status humans had before the all in Paradise?
Let us remember that after the cataclysm we call Noah's Flood, the choosing of Abraham by God (while he still lived in Ur) became the beginning of our redemption from the fall.
We really owe Abraham much more because of his total obedience to God than for his faith. As far as faith goes, Abraham initially showed more faith in Sarai, his wife, than in God.
Once again we remind one and all that: (a) In Abraham's time human sacrifice was not unusual; and (b) God had not yet spelled out "Thou shalt not kill" though Moses. After Moses, anyone claiming to hear God ordering the offer of any human being as a sacrifice, or ordering to kill someone in His Name, is hearing satan and not God.
